Is anyone jumping ship from space grey to silver on the new iPad? I’m going to personally switch it up for something different (and that white magic keyboard)

Yeah, I am doing the same. I’ve mostly just been a Space Gray guy and only owned 1 2020 11” iPad Pro in Silver before, but I didn’t have it long. This will be my first 12.9” in Silver and the one I intend on keeping for a very long time!

100% agree. I have the 12.9” 2020 Space Grey version. Wasn’t going to upgrade, but the damn M1, and much more then an incremental update. After a brand and keyboard case it’s really only the sides I’ll see.
Yep. Had been SG for a long while, but switched to Silver for this upgrade. Love it.
I switched to silver but just ordered a black MKB. Worried that white might not stay that way for long.
I just picked mine up from the Apple Store. I’m still indifferent. I’m trying to talk myself into liking the silver. It doesn’t match any of my other devices (picky, I know). The last SG one literally got ripped as I was processing my payment. Still kinda pissed about that one.
Same here. I have rocked the space gray for years on iPhone, iPad, and MacBook. This year I switched up to a blue phone and now a silver iPad and they’re perfect for me. I just wasn’t adventurous enough to go for the white cover.
Space Grey was [and still is] very cool. But, have a Silver iPP 11” M1 in front of me having received it yesterday. As trends go, ‘Silver is the new Space Grey’ 😉 And, not that I see that bright silver back much in an black Apple Smart Folio, but it still looks (from the sides) pretty cool
Had the 2018 11” iPad Pro in Space Gray then upgraded to 2020 12.9 in Silver and fell in love with the color after all these years of dark devices. For my 2021 12.9, I decided to stick with Silver and could be happier. The back doesn’t show anywhere near as much fingerprint smudging as on the space grey version.
I can see that for sure. I am trying to sell myself on the silver honestly. I prefer SG, but I stare at the front, not the back and sides. Also, the white MGK is slick.
I've always gotten Space Gray because I wanted black bezels (still using TouchID iPads). I was planning on getting Silver this time around for the iPad 1-4 retro aesthetic. Alas SG was the only color available for 12.9 1TB Cell by the time I placed my in-store pickup order this morning so I'm stuck with SG.
Sticking With space grey. It goes better with my existing magic keyboard. It also matches my M1 MacBook Air. I was concerned about how space grey would hold up when I got my 2018 12.9 Pro but it is still pristine 3 years later and its been used in folio covers and the magic keyboard, neither of which wrap around the edges giving protection.
Yep, I have space grey everything, but the white with silver looked so much better in the store so decided to go with silver for this device. Also jumped from 11” to 12.9”…Very happy on both fronts. Amazing size, color, speed, screen, everything…what a device! (coming from 10.5 2017 pro)
