Hey guys! My app I've been working on, iProcrastinate Mobile, was just posted to the App Store!

It's free, and is a simple task management app that helps keep track of tasks, homework, etc.

iTunes Link

The icon listed in the iTunes App Store is a bit weird, but it won't show up like that on your iPhone. I've posted a fix anyway though. :)

Give it a download and let me know what you think! If you like it (or even if you don't) review it on the App Store and let everyone else know! Thanks again for all your help with coding, suggestions, comments, etc.

I'll be adding over-the-air synchronization to both versions soon, by popular demand. :D

By the pictures it looks nice, but right now it seems a it useless because school doesn't start for a couple months. I will for sure download once school starts.

I use it for a lot of things other than just school, though my homework was the initial reason I wanted to make this app.

I use it to keep track of things I need to do for work, and what to pick up when I run to the store. Much more durable than a post-it note. :p

I've been looking for a good app like this, I'll check it out and report back :)

Yes! I can't wait to get home and download this! I won't even have my iPod touch 'til Friday, but I still want it sitting in iTunes waiting for me. Hooray! *goofiness over*

I just got done playing with it for a few minutes and quite frankly it sucks lol jk it's a really good task manager, it took a minute to get used to it but it already is looking to be a very useful app and I can see this being even more useful when school starts, the only thing I can think of now is adding a time of day for the due date if possible (it may be there now I just haven't seen it in the few minutes I messed with it) besides time of day implementation it is a very good app and the task manager I have been looking for, keep up the good work :)

Thanks! I decided a while ago not to add a time of day. That was always the one thing that no calendar app could get right for me, and I figured that the main purpose of iProcrastinate is to be a task manager, not a calendar. So that's why I left it to a single due date. :)

Looks pretty nice. Good job!
Thanks a lot! :D

wow, really liking this so far, can't wait for the synchronization between touch and computer, since I don't trust just keeping it one place. awesome, I'll be sure to write a review in the app store.

Oh ok, I just noticed I could put the time under notes anyway if I wanted to so that'll do just fine :)

ok, few comments

  • the blue button that is used to edit the titles of the supjects are hard to push, I have to click like 4 times to get it, I guess it won't be that much of a problem after I set it all up, but right now it's kind of annoying.
  • there should be a simple color chooser that has like 20 colors and have an option for custom colors, just my opinion.
  • there should be a way to put smart groups above subjects, like I have everything due tomorrow and due this week and I'd like that above all the subjects.
  • when you click the new task button it should go right to the editing menu

I'll add more as they come up

Very nice. I have been waiting for an appl like this for school. Previously I had been using notes, which was not working, at all. Thanks a lot, and I hope to get a lot of good use out of this come the fall. Good work ( from what I can tell so far ).

With class starting in just a month, this is a great application, that can only get better. While I can bring my Mac to class, it's nice to have my "planner" on my phone as well.

Great app, one suggestion, is it possible to have a notification badge thing that comes up on the home screen when there is a day or two left for the task? Possibly customisable as to when it comes up in the settings page?
But anyway, good job and i hope you know what i am talking about!

I do know what you're talking about, and Apple will be giving developers this feature in September, if I understand correctly. (If I'm mistaken, someone let me know. :))

Awesome suggestions, and I've actually had all 3 of them implemented at one point. I'm still testing the water to see what features should be included without adding too much clutter.

Based on the fact that someone other than me came up with them though, maybe I'll throw them back in and see what happens. :)

awesome, glad to see you're actively going to improve the program, I'm most likely going to donate some money after I try it out at school, especially if there are a lot of improvements coming.

I just briefly tried it out and I'm pretty impressed. It's simple and seems pretty effective, I'll give it more use once school starts up again I'm sure. I also look forward to future updates.

Thanks a bunch, I'm glad you like it.

A new update should be out later this week, there's been more feedback than I've known what to do with. :D

Great app, and I think it can be useful for non-students as well, is there a way to edit subjects to maybe say projects or something else?

Nope, it used to actually say projects, but a lot of people thought that it was too school-oriented. Using "Subjects" seemed to broaden exactly what you could put in the list. :)

I can use it with Japanese characters as well!

Hi Craig,
Nice software!
I've tried about 20 of iPhone apps of ToDo (total cost is more than $80!)
but your app is useful and efficient enough compare with others.
I used it with my iPhone in Japanese interface, and it works almost perfect.

That's awesome! I'm really glad to hear it worked. (At least for the most part.)

Wonder why the other strings didn't?

Hey, just wanted to say - great app!

I wish I could move my smart groups above my other task lists (Because it gives me an at a glance 'what is due NOW' view) . I use it for work, I'm not a student, so each project I'm on has it's own group, with tasks and subtasks as required. I also have a 'Home' section for stuff I'm doing at home. I don't think it would work very well as a grocery list as entering each individual task would take awhile.

The color selection is sometimes hard to hit the button to move the slider - sometimes I 'miss the slider' and then it won't move unless I repress and try again. Predefined colors (9? 15? Who knows) with option for custom color would be great. Also handy to have it remember your last three custom colors.

I like not having to worry about due 'times of days', like you said earlier. Better to leave it out.

I don't know how useful syncing would be since there is no 'native desktop' app that I'm aware of (Am I wrong?)

It would be really nice if I could click on an item in mail or on my calendar and have it create that as a task in iProcrastinate - but I doubt you have the ability/control to do that.

I don't think 'reminders' or anything should be built in (with notifications etc), too much clutter.

Awesome app though, I'm impressed. I've been going through a lot of the cheap/free task management apps and this is my favorite so far. I also like how the interface looks, very clean and professional and not girly.
