Is 64 GB enough?

I have a 64GB SSD installed in my 2007 Macbook. I have 32GB left after all my documents, applications etc are accounted for. I just keep media (in particular video) on an external hard drive.
The only disadvantage is that the external hard drive needs to come with you if you want to watch something.

What do you want to do on the Air? If it's word processing, Internet, maybe a couple games, Office, Photoshop, etc. it'll be enough. I'm running a single 40GB SSD on my custum gaming PC desktop and I have plenty of space to work with.
I believe that you will have about 50GBs free with OS X on there. Someone else want to chime in on this who has one? Unless you have very small library i would look to go bigger
I'm using 140 gigs on my MBP. I have no idea where I am using all that, but I am.
I could probably drop it to 100 if I deleted all the junk I don't need. I could drop it from 100 to about 35 If I uploaded a bunch of stuff that I don't really need to my web server or an external solution.

Yeah thats gonna be tight. Unless this is a secondary machine then i would get the larger capacity one. Other option is usb external hard drive
It is for me, because the air isn't my primary computer. If I did want to use it as a primary I'd have to put my media library on an external.

I just went through everything and deleted stuff I don't need. I am now down to 80 GB used.
If I offload all my documents and developer projects, I could get down to 50 or 60.
Be careful I got rid of a bunch of stuff and deleted needed items. I did notice that I had lots of duplicate pictures
Sure it will be enough. Probably even 16GB will be enough.
How can you expect us to answer your question without giving us any information about how you will be using your computer?
Is this your main computer? Will you be storing any music, videos, movies, pictures etc on it? Will you install programs, apps, games?
Well yes of course.. that's what networks and servers are for. do you really want all of your sensitive data on something that can be stolen while you're at starbucks?

I recommend this (pretty much any web host will work). FTP is a little slow, but this is more useful than you think.
I have set up an Automator Service and a Folder Action to upload pictures and copy the URL to the clipboard. Having your own image hosting instead of using TinyPic or PhotoBucket is pretty neat.
I'm more interested in your thoughts about yourselves. I've got a 32 GB iPad and a 27 iMac right now. I sold my 13 MBP when I got the iPad. I started missing having a laptop about a month ago and now the new Airs are out and I'm getting one for sure, size and storage are the only question.
I have the 11.6" MBA with 128G storage. I installed a few small benchmark apps and one big game (Steam, Portal, and Team Fortress).
So far I've used up 38GB. Since the 128GB formatted is 121GB, I have 83GB left. If this was a 64GB storage, it's likely 60GB formatted, which, in my case, would leave only 22GB free. Glad I got the 128GB model.

The Air would be used primarily for iPhone and web development. I would not be dual booting. I will have Photoshop and Illustrator on it but not any of the remainder of the suite.
I'm pretty sure I could live with the 64GB. My old Macbook that I had for 4 years had a 120GB HDD but I partitioned 40GB for Windows so my Mac partition was down to around 68 usable GB. It got filled up but I had a bunch of unnecessary junk and applications that I didn't ever use on there so I think I can do it with this machine as well.

I keep my porn on a usb external 1 GB drive.
1GB .....make that 1TB. You can never have too much porn. that's like saying you can never have too much money.
