Personally, I use stream to me. I had the air video free, which obviously you can't compare to a paid version, but I like stream to me's interface and functionality a lot better.

Wrong thread, mate.

/offtopic: Air Video Free is the same as the paid version, except it doesn't show all your videos.

No wifi

OK before i drop the cash I just want to be sure. Can I read files even when I have no wifi. If I am reading it right it will store files on the ipad its self. I no its a stupid ?? but its a lot of $$$$

If the files are stored locally yes.

You can browse the contents and read shared directories and files on those directories. You can then also copy and paste those files into your air sharing app.

good reader works with all apple compliant video formats. that's how i watch formula 1

If that is the case then AirSharing is better because it will accept any video format as long as it's not a Video TS file I believe. I use it frequently on my iPhone. I'd venture to guess their price point though it a bit high. I want to see what it offers over the iPhone version.

Can I create a picture folder on my Air Sharing HD app and copy all my iPad wallpapers to it and then set one of them as my wallpaper on my iPad?

I currently sync them via iPhoto but then I hate seeing them as part of the gallery show

Unclear on functionality

I'm still not entirely clear on the full functionality of Goodreader or Air Sharing HD. I want to be able to browse the hierarchy of my Mac from my iPad, and view documents, photos etc fullscreen without having to first copy said files to the iPad. Do both or either of those programs serve that function? Thanks.

Me too, I wish I could store other pictures I don't want to show up in the Photo Gallery somewhere else. I scanned my softball schedule to put on my iPad and now its with all my other photos. With Air Sharing HD can I put it somewhere else? Thanks.
