Anyone else confirm this? It's only $100 to upgrade to 1GB on the online store. It actually makes it worthwhile if you're just going for 2x512MB rather than order and wait from 3rd party sellers.

So why would it be 3x more in the store itself?

Anyway, I have only one Mac, a Core Duo iMac, that I've had since February, but I've been waiting for the MacBooks so I could order one. It's for the wife, honest.

Can someone confirm these; please.

I'm Rich, and i'm a Mac addict.

I converted to Mac about last year. Before then, i had only used PCs and an eMac at uni to edit my films using iMovie. In 2005 i forked out and purchased a 1.67 G4 PowerBook 15'' (The rev before the last) to run Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop and anything else i can throw at it. This PowerBook has been the fundamental factor in producing some of the work that has gotten me great results whilst studying for my degree.

Since then i've bought a PowerMac G4 Dual 450, which i am restoring to be used as a server/media storage.

I also have a Graphite iMac G3 SE. This was my girlfriend's, but i bought a Snow iMac 500 SE and swapped it with her Graphite. (she loves the minimalist look, but don't we all?)

OS X has changed my life, i will never have to spend hours, days, even weeks maintaining it, which gives me a lot more time to work and play.

I have 3 Mac computers with one on it's way to be repaired and passed onto my girlfriend as a romantic gesture. WinkWink. (867mHz 12" PowerBook G4) Completely free of charge from a member of this forum.

Oh puh-leeze... this was just one delivery on one occasion :D :
I said some because that is about 10%. The rest has been sold on or thrown in a skip (unfortunately) along with most of the merchandise (posters, t-shirts etc). At one point, there were 6 quad G5s and 4 mac minis in the hall.
OK these weren't ours but it was a sight.

My first mac was the SE/30, I then got a Powerbook 170.

Unforutnately when it cam time to upgrade i couldn't afford a mac, and exchange rates were ridiculous, so I had to settle for a pc.
Though, i never forgot the mac experience (even though it was system 7.1)

I had to wait more than 10 years for my next mac (see sig)
Now all i do is think of macs, i visit this site everyday and the Apple one pretty regularily.

I've purchased all sorts of goodies for my pbook, got an iPod, and still want more...

Most definitely, see sig for home computers. I maintain at the place of employment 9 others. They are 8600/200 PPC, G4/DP 867, Ti PB G4/667, G4/466, G4/DP 450, G4/450, G3/350, 2 iMacs original style G3/600. Couldn't imagine life on PCs, I do use an older Gateway:eek: for one client who has to have all their work done in PageMaker PC version. That computer is a joke, I don't even boot it unless there is work to be done for that client. I always look for Macs for sale in the local paper, garage sales, schools, etc.

So true, if I could only convince my PC buds of that. but I guess being stubborn comes from using PCs.;)
