I am.

I currently have a Galaxy Nexus and i'm ready to have an iPhone again. The feel of the device, its camera, its great battery life, the quality of the device itself and not to mention the plethora or 3rd party accessories available for the phone. I was thinking about getting the new Droid Maxx or Moto X but they don't exactly wow me. They did at first but i know that within a couple months i would be itching to get another android device. There's no way i'm getting Samsung or Htc. I HATE their skins.

My galaxy nexus is running a stock 4.3 rom and bloat removed. I've had idk how many roms flashed onto this device but none have really matched the performance of when i had the iphone 5. My android history has been; Droid 2 Global. Droid Incredible, Droid R2d2, and Galaxy Nexus. Each one i rooted and flashed roms to each device to get them to run better. The iPhone was the only device that didn't needed to be modified. I can't wait to get another one!

This is one of the problems I have with android. Despite the incredible tech that is built into these devices, I've never come across one that runs as smooth as an iOS phone. Just now my nexus 7 would not respond for 10 seconds while I was typing a message.

No, if all the 5S has is a fingerprint sensor and a gold color. I might consider going back to an iPhone once they stopped simply copying Android features and actually start to invent their own. Right now I am fine with my HTC One, which will probably stay in the years to come.

Agreed and i was more of an Android fan too but after having an iMac for the last 6 months and actually using my ipad 2(well my dad won it in a contest about 2 years ago but i never got around to using it until a couple weeks ago). I just really like how it works.

I'm actually more interested in the rumored lower cost iPhone. I'm one of the lucky people with unlimited 4G from Verizon still so I can't upgrade at the subsidized price. I'm much more interested in phones that don't break the bank off contract. That is why I was initially really excited for the Moto X and would love for Google to pull a Nexus on Verizon (I know, I know... not going to happen, but it would be awesome)

I'm just not excited at all by what the iPhone 5S nor iOS 7 has to offer.

What few advantages iOS has and what few exclusive hardware features the 5S might have just doesn't make up for all that they lack.

At this point in time, there is little to no reason to switch back.

Strangely, for the last few days I have been considering doing just that.

Lots of frustrations with my S4. Play Store app still won't work. When I access it through a browser, a lot of apps say not available in your country (really????), or incompatible with your device. MMS sending and receiving photos chewing up my limited data. Just an example.

I love the size of the phone, love the widgets, but I miss iOS like crazy. So yes, I believe I will.

i'm thinking i just might. my htc one has been somewhat disappointing lately. the battery for one, and the way it often fails to connect to my car's bluetooth for another (this wasn't just limited to the one; i've had problems with a galaxy s4 and a nexus 4 as well). the only thing i'd miss by leaving android would be a bigger screen, but i think the positives might outweigh the negatives on this one. if the base model starts at 32 gb, that might just be enough to jump back.

No, not all. Not that all bewitched with the wacky colour options (Gold).

I'm more likely to switch to something Snapdragon 800-powered like the Note III and the LG G2.

4.3 - 4.7 inch screen would interest me in iPhone again, but...

S models have never done it for me.

Also, a little off topic but I'm really starting to see just how much value is in a Nexus phone. No contract and half the price or any of these other phones? I can get a new one with the latest and greatest each year? And lower my monthly bill and have the latest and greatest version of android? I'll be looking hard at the Nexus 4 (2013).

This is a big, big differentiator for me. Since I have no interest in ever having a cell phone contract again, I use prepaid and buy unlocked. The performance per dollar that you get for a Nexus 4 is unbeatable. Unless Apple does something amazing, I won't be customer as long as the Nexus program continues in its present form.

Yep. My problem is this all sounds great in theory and then there always seems to be some problem with the Nexus or Android that I can't live with. I have tried so many times but I'm going to keep trying.

If the rumors are true and the 5C will have the same internals as the 5, and it will be relatively cheap off contract then I might pick one up just to tinker with but I think for a permanent phone I am now firmly in the Nexus and Android world.

There are new predictions/rumors saying it'll be anywhere from $400-500 unlocked.

I don't like the way the cheap iphone looks in the leaked pics. Now I have a samsung S4 and have had previous samsung phones in the past which are all plastic. However I'm not keen on the way the iphone 5C looks. They could have done better job. Look at the 5th gen ipod touches, they are stylish, they still used aluminium and the 64 GB sells for around the same price I'd imagine the 5C will start at.

On topic, I was really considering going back to the iphone as I was so fed up with my galaxy note. However I did my upgrade this time and went for the S4.The contract I took is one where you can upgrade when you like, although there is a fee you pay. The less time you have left on your contract the cheaper it is. By the time the iphone 6 is released the upgrade fee will be reasonable so I'll see how things go with android for the next year and if it's not working out I'll go for the iphone 6 in a year.

In short yes. Android is great at many things, but as long as there is no great Nexus experience for the mass market then I'll be heading back to iOS. I love the hardware for what it is, but the software with its skinning is a mess.

Not trying to stop you, but Google Play Editions?

I was tempted, but I'm holding out for the Note 3. If it fails to impress, then I'll be back with the iPhone. It's not that I don't like Android, I'm just not a fan of carrier interference, and bloat.

So once again. Why not a google play edition? No carrier interference and no bloat.

If Verizon was able to get the Nexus 4 and the next Nexus/or the Google Play editions came with a Cdma Verizon version then it would be a different story.
Imo the Nexus is the "Best" android device.

That's my predicament too. I want to leave Verizon... but they have the best coverage where I live. I'm also one of the lucky ones to have unlimited 4G. Still I've been looking for a reason to switch and even went to T-Mobile for a couple months. I would love to give T-Mo my business but their coverage just isn't good enough in my area. As for AT&T, the coverage is pretty good but I would be paying more for much less.

I really hope that Google can get past Verizon like Apple has. Offer a phone with no carrier bloat, from the play store (also available from Verizon), and with OTA updates directly from Google. The icing on the cake would be Nexus pricing.

I have given up my unlimited data and its not that bad for me. I also wanted to give T-mobile a shot but it's the same story out here; their coverage isn't all that great. At&t is solid around here but i rather stay with Verizon but hey who knows if Verizon gets any worse i'll ditch them for At&t. Gsm phones seem to be much better and easier to deal with vs cdma phones.

YES! That's what i LOVE about Apple, they make Verizon take the phone the Apple way not the Verizon way.
