I'm glad to hear it's working for some people said:
Oddly enough, the two step authentication on my Google account works easily for me on my MacBook Air, even when I am using Safari (and not Google) on my Mac. But Apple's two-step authentication is total frustration.

I'm probably going to abandon my iCould email and use G-Mail and Yahoo instead, both of which work fine.

Apple has gotten so fat and lazy that they can't see the forrest because of their belly (I mean trees.)
