Evil, no not at all. They have a way of telling people how devices and apps should be used. Like for example the way safari is the default browser and no other browser gets a look in.

It is also as if Apple do not trust their customers with doing things themselves! But you cannot fault apples customer service, it is top notch.

All these metaphors, very misleading.

I'll show you yours if you'll show me mine.

Okay I win.

It would be like if Tim Cook had a hip replacement (right hand one seeing how you asked) and after two year (sounds familiar?) he started to experience grinding noises from the ball joint, ouch.

So he hops (literally) in private apple jet to have it out with the Genius aka Dr Bones.

Tim "Dr Bones my hip replacement hasn't lasted in fact it's only two years and I'm slowing down and in pain"

Dr Bones "Tim, Chinese proverb what comes around goes around".

Tim "I think you're being unfair"

Dr Bones "Tim I was referring to your ball joint"

Okay. Quick one
Q.
What's does Gerry and the Pacemakers and Apple have in common?

A.
The Pacemakers have a 2 year battery life, the other two don't.

Debatable. Clearly, your experiences may vary. And there's no real accurate metric to determine quality control other than what you read on a tech forum or through hearsay. Especially considering the millions of devices that they produce, there's no way of knowing specifically Mining that type of data to know where the quality control standards are set.

Now, anecdotally, My experiences with their hardware has been nothing short of stellar. But that I can attest to being a consumer many of their products on my own behalf.

As for the customer service, I think there is a reason their rated at the top. Not every experience will be ideal for some customers, because they want certain resolutions to be favored for them no matter what. Reality is, when you purchase a product, you purchase the customer service behind the Product. And they both work in tandem, and I feel the customer service is some of the best in the tech industry.
Oh yes, Apple's customer service is still one of the best in the field. However, for example, you can't just do walk-ins for warranty support anymore (you're required to make an appointment online) and in my area, it's impossible to get same-day appointments.

As for quality control slipping, I'm seeing more glitches in software - misaligned icons, more frequent respring, etc.

Which led to Millions of Joe Public unwittingly spending £699 instead of £79 an unnecessary expenditure of £620, but a massive gain to Apples turnover and profit.

Nice to have the choice where to spend your £620 on AAPLs profits or spending on the Kids.

Million's, huh? Sure. And if you are making choices between phones and the kids, well, I'd say your priorities (and uh, millions of joe public) are out of whack.

Is Apple company evil? If yes how?
why android users hate Apple, iPhone so much?

We don't get a 'no' choice?

Because android is open source software, Apple isn't... (parts of it now seem to be extending in that area) but for the most part, its still closed,

Android users wish they could do a lot more then Android users do, but want the conveniences of iOS as well.

Then there are the others who just don't like anything that is limited. (That's a black & white affair)

Evil is a strong word. They are greedy, they are protectionists, they are all-in for the share holders and they are myopically focused on iOS to the detriment of all else.

What do you mean, evil? If it is the price tags of their products I definitely think they are evil and hypocrites I must add when they claim everyone should have access to technology - but how so with such prohibitive prices? The poor can't afford an iPhone or even an entry-level iMac or MacBook. On the other hand I am very happy with their customer service so far, as to the products themselves I have mixed feelings. I switched to Apple fairly recently, I was a PC and Android user until one month ago.

Maybe Apple only wants rich people to buy they product's.
maybe Apple don't care about the poor people, who can't afford it.
what about 3rd world country Apple?
but Google is trying to help the poor to get stuck in the spider web. so everyone can use it...

Why should they?

The goal of any company (that is not a charity), is to make a profit. Apple has opted to sell premium products and have not veered away from that philosophy.

There are other companies that offer phones for a lot less, so its not like those who cannot afford the iPhone have no other option.

Apple isn’t evil, because a company isn’t a being that’s capable of being good or evil. Corporations aren’t people.

i think people are biased saying Apple is Evil.
they say Apple is over-priced...but Google Pixel is also over-priced but no one wants to mention that.
iPhone for example has 5 years of updates cycle, local Apple Store, excellent re-sale value.

on the other hand Google Pixel has 2 or 3 year update cycle, no Google store, poor re-sale value. why most Tech review's ignore this? but bash and swear at Apple?

Unbox Therapy guy from YouTube channel saying don't buy iPhone X.
the same guy bend the iPhone 6 but never bend the Google Nexus 6P..why Lewis?
even Moto G5 does the same thing as flagship phone facebook, snapchat, so why don't you recommend this Lewis ?

Apple factory people committing suicide, don't you think other OEM build the phone in China? and paying poor wages.

Google was laughing at Apple for removing the Headphone JAck...guess what Google this year you did it too? who's laughing now Google?

Apple is Evil for removing floppy disk drive, removing DVD drive's guess what? they all copy after making fun out of Apple.

As an Android use I care not one iota about the length of time google provides Android updates because I don't rely on them for them. I don't care one iota whether there's a Google store to get my phone worked on because the cell phone store or I can just mail it to them. I care not one iota about the resale value because I won't sell it I'll repurpose it when I stop using it. I'll pay what Google wants for their phone because they'll let me do what I want with my phone, but apple does not. YouTube reviewers tend to be nerds who appreciate the same things I do for us iPhone is just not an option, for normal people it is.

Definitely not evil, there are some evil corporations in this world like Monsanto, but Apple is just disgustingly greedy.

Though I have to say soldering stuff like RAM and SSD in situations where it could be avoided so that users can't replace/upgrade AND overcharging for these upgrades at BTO is borderline evil.

Evil no condisending YES.

Tim Cooks quip 'only a few coffees to pay for X' in the meantime preciding over the Secret apple slow down unit has made me lose respect for him.

Wind clock forward to 2028 I doubt iOS /apple smartphones will exist. It will be 100% alphabet. They will be largest Company on planet with market cap of 250 to 500 trillion.

Gotta be in it to win it
Enron was evil. Bernie Madoff and his company was evil.

Apple is a company who develops products their way.

They are not only game in town, but have a customer base who likes their products.

Who knows what happens in the future? Apple may not exist and alphabet may go the way of the dodo, both upstaged by younger and more nimble startups.
