LOL you keep harping on that point in every thread. Simple maintenance of your computer (aka hitting the defrag button and going to sleep) takes care of the vast majority of issues. Not being a moron online also helps a lot. I've ran Vista x64 on my enthusiast desktop for more than a year and it runs without slowdowns but then again, I'm not considered a general user.
Also, good luck having the MBP compete against PC hardware on games, especially seeing how the graphics are already a generation behind
hitting the defrag button does not solve all the problems and simply 'speed up' your computer to its original state. surely an experienced user such as yourself should know that, and wouldnt say that on a post where you are trying to sound superior (thats just naive).
you should of said that windows
does require quite a lot of care to keep it running smoothly, and if you do it right the results can be very positive. as long as you dont install stupid software that is poorly written, and dont have hundreds of background tasks running from startup, and keep your registry clean by not installing useless software you should be fine. i am not sure of the moron online thing means, but you get that sometimes.
Anyways, back to the thread:
I doubt they ever will. Apple is about profit margins and gaming consoles are NOT conducive to it. Companies often release consoles to push technology for the rest of their business. Like Sony's main money is not made in the PS2 or PS3 (it's still losing money). One could argue, however, they used the PS3 to promote sales of its HDTV's and win the Blu-Ray format war.
of course! that is how it works! you could base that solely on how poor the PS3 actually performs, and on the PS2 aswell i guess. i find the PS3 to be laggy, i wouldnt expect that in these times with the technology. the games shouldnt push the hardware to the limits, but it should be good enough so that you dont notice any deprecations in quality/performance. but no, apple will not bring out a gaming console. i dont know where the idea came from..but it is purely false.
Also, a lot goes into getting game companies to support your console. Enthusiast games are being produced for the PS3 and 360 at much higher rates than the Wii (which while fun, is sorely lacking in good titles) largely because of issues such as this.
the wii also lacks the hardware to do ANYTHING good with the graphics, but nintendo has always been like that.
the ps3 & 360 have got their market and i dont think that there is any spot for an extra console
