The probably dont know what the iPad 8 is, so they likely meant to say something along the lines of "What the (F word) is the iPad 8?"

Now that makes sense actually; I thought it might've been buck as in money, so asking if the iPad 8 was the best value.
Though if they know about the iPad 7 wouldn't the logical conclusion to that question be "the successor to the iPad 7"?

I know. I actually have mentioned that earlier on this thread:

Watching YouTube in landscape, you get stereo sound instead of it just coming from one side.

Quad speakers is still the domain of the Pros though (granted, I never really cared about it).

It's hard to find a definitive source, but most seem to suggest it was George Bernard Shaw.

Anyway the examples here are nothing compared to the consternation you see when you talk to an American about standing on the pavement ("pavement" meaning the road surface in the US, and what Americans call the "sidewalk" in the UK). While even Brits who are familiar with American English tend to find the term "fanny pack" disconcerting...
