I have been noticed that 90% person use mighty mouse more than 1.5 years will said that is rubbish. But 90% person who has used less than 1 year said that is an amazing mouse.

What an interesting problem.

The wireless mighty mouse is crap. I got one with my MBP and quickly stopped using it, primarily because there is NO BACK BUTTON. How can they make a mouse these days without the back button? It's almost as bad as the long-missing right click, which they have now addressed, but to leave off the back button? Come on. And the scroll ball doesn't work as well as the wheels on other mice.

Now I'm using the Microsoft Wireless laser 8000 mouse--it's a good bluetooth desktop mouse and the back button works fine, it stays on my desk at home. I'm eyeing up the Microsoft bluetooth notebook 5000 mouse for travel, but reviewers on amazon say the back button doesn't work with the current software.

Logitech MX Revolution = One of the best Mice on the Market.

-Ball bearing smooth scroll wheel
-side scrolling possible
-wireless usb
-fits snugly in your hand (right hand that is)
-includes second thumb wheel and a
couple more customizable buttons

I bought a wireless mighty mouse with my first mac, and goddamn it was horrible. Swapped it for an MX Revolution which is soooo much better and got rid of the mighty mouse on ebay. More buttons = a lot more flexible when using expose, plus this scroll wheel is the best thing ever.

The logitech drivers are complete **** on Leopard though - use steermouse

A lot of people don't like the mighty mouse because the scroll ball stops working, but really, you're supposed to clean it on a regular basis (say, once a week) to keep that from happening. If you go until it stops working before cleaning it, then it could very well be too late. I clean my scroll ball on a regular basis and have never had a problem with the scrolling not working in any direction, ever. As for the clicking, it is a little annoying that once in a while you right click and it registers as a left click, or a little less often, vice versa. However, I absolutely love my mighty mouse and don't regret the purchase at all (though I bought it for fifty something "refurbished" on amazon but it came all sealed up in the package so I think the price was marked down because the box was "damaged" even though it was still perfectly fine).

I agree that if you are mostly at home with your macbook, that's a reason to get a mouse, not a reason to possibly not get a mouse. I use my wireless mouse and keyboard only at home, and when I go out I use the build in keyboard and trackpad. So if you use your macbook mostly at home, you should definitely get SOME mouse, and the question becomes which to get.

Wireless Anything Is Gangsta, So just for the sake of your reputation on the streets i'd say that they are most certainly worth it. Even the haters will need to respect a wireless mouse.

Also i have found anything wireless to b much less tedious then using the "mouse pad" thingy regardless of the price

:apple:

I had one and sold it. Now I use a logitech and I'm much happier. The MM looks great, but the right click didn't work consistently for me. Made it basically impossible to play games. And the logitech has enough buttons for exposé, dashboard, spaces, and other things. :D

I though about getting a mighty mouse but chose a logitech wireless mouse for $24 instead. its small (but just right in size), uses one battery (effectively might I add), and alot cheaper than the mighty mouse. I couldn't be happier w/ it.

I've been using that with my PB for years (Microsoft does make quality mice), before the switch yesterday to...

I think the review quote sums it up:

If you can find it for less than MSRP ($99), pick it up.

The mouse is fine, though I was looking more for something bluetooth, so I didn't need to use a usb port/hub. One less thing to have hooked up. The MX revolution seems nice, though I recall reading that there was a lack of support for the mouse on OSX somewhere, and there is the fact that logitech's drivers do not work (the last time I checked) on Leopard.

I'm running 10.5.1 and it works great for me. I'm able to configure all seven buttons plus the scroll wheels.

The wireless mighty mouse doesn't charge through USB so it's crap in my opinion. It works wonders and it feels good and it's easy to use like many other mice that are in the market.

But since I cannot recharge the batteries inside the mouse and continue using it I decided to go with a full sized mouse from Radtech.us

it is for me, I prefer using a mouse to the trackpad, and the wireless MM looks good and works good too.

I bought one too a while back, but found it to be garbage. Didn't respond very quick, and the right click is more pain than anything. Plus it is extremely unergonomic as they made it flat (I guess so both right and left handers could use it). Also, the scroll ball was overrated in my opinion: I rarely ever have to scroll sideways, and scrolling up and down with it required some odd finger positioning. I found it hurt my wrists, so even though I loved the look I dont want carpal tunnel, so I sold it on ebay and got a Logitech MX518 and a VX revolution.

Exact same story here. Got the bluetooth Mighty Mouse with my MBP back in June, and replaced it two months later with a MX Revolution (using Steermouse, not the crappy Logitech drivers).

The only regret I have is that it's USB and not bluetooth, but since I failed to find a really well-designed BT mouse ...

How interesting - I got an MX518 to replace my BT MM, and just yesterday the VX revolution that I bought arrived. I love the MX518, but I got such a good deal on the VX that I couldn't pass it up. Which do you find yourself using more?

What other good bluetooth mouses are there?

I've had 3, and sadly, the best of them was a now 3 year old MS BT intellimouse. It doesn't have an off switch and it "hibernates" after a period of inactivity (meaning it's slow to respond for a few seconds when you start using it again) but it was really good in all other ways. I tried the Radtech BT600, but it stained very easily and needed to be recharged constantly. The MM was the third, and it didn't right click well enough (and I want more buttons than that).

Love mine. I bought a wired version and a week later bought a used MBP with a wireless included. I like enough to NOT sell it just for the few times I might travel with it!

MM is so expensive and in-ergonomic that it makes me puke. The VX revolution is a much better investment and if it's anything like the MX1000, it can also sidescroll.

I got my wired MM over a year ago for $24 in the orginal box and Apple retail bag off eBay. Thus far.. NO problems. LOVE IT.

It occasionaly does stop scrolling down but I just turn it over and hit the scoll ball a few times and it continues to work just fine.

Hi, guys. I just bought a wired mighty mouse for my macbook.
But I found the system become slow when I used it. The cursor moves not as smoothly as the case I used trackpad.
