I am currently on iOS 12.4 on iPhone X. Is iOS 13 stable enough to use on my daily driver? Is the battery life lower? Are there any stutters or lags? I just can’t stand not having dark mode so I am getting the itch to update.

I personally don't believe any beta software should be used on a device you rely on. The current version may be OK but the next release could brick your device, lose data, apps you depends on (banking) may stop working, etc.
Using since beta 1, its beyond usable. A few APPS (stop blaming Apple people, this on app devs) have idle drain like Reddit, parcel, but just force close when finished using and it stops. Apple store (not APP store) app must have location disabled or it will too have idle drain.

I’m in beta 4 on my iPad Pro 11 (daily driver), and it’s more stable than I expected a beta to be so far. Of course there is some crashes and freezing, but you only need to restart and then you’re good again.
Where I see the most crashes/bugs is with the new features like external hard drive support etc.

It’s fine. Don’t listen to the naysayers - just check the known apps that currently aren’t supported or working, and if you don’t rely on any of those apps, go ahead and give it a go. Been using it for weeks now and besides 2 springboard crashes / resets, no issues whatsoever. Some people blow everything out of proportion. Safari sucks anyway — it is one of the worst browsers you can possibly use for security and safety on iOS, if you have an issue with Safari, use a better browser such as Brave.
LOL Captain SpeaksForEveryone has some cool stereotypes and assumptions. Ive had calls hung up mid conversation, bluetooth disconnecting several times a call and imessages being stuck for days with this particular beta.
But youre right, 100% recommended to all who dont use particular apps. Like phone, bluetooth and messages haha
You’re in a 0.00001% then as you can read through all of these “Should I install?” threads and find nobody having those issues you just described. Haven’t read about anyone’s calls or whatever dropping off and what not and certainly hasn’t happened to me.
Wait a few weeks/months after the official release when the bugs will be fixed. It is not the way to go for you now.
It’s just WRONG to recommend people using beta software. Sure, my experience is overall ok, and no major hiccups. No dealbreakers. But you know what’s the beauty of using beta software? Apple can choose to intentionally break working feature during beta testing period. Look at those people wondering why USB drive support on iPad is terrible in beta 4 and 3, but ok in beta 2. For those who have tested iOS 9 beta 2, that beta was the best beta of all betas for iPhone 6 devices simply because of that trackpad feature, which then was taken out in beta 3 and never came back for iPhone 6. Similarly, iOS 13 beta 2 or 3 renders force touch almost obsolete, only to see some sort of use at iOS 13 beta 4. This list could go on and on.

Surprise, f er. Just the moment I want to reply to you, Safari is bugged out and won’t pop up keyboard when tapping reply box. Oh, you use other browsers. Sorry my bad.
Yes I use Brave and haven’t experienced any issues. Safari is weak on security, ad trackers, phishing, and displays advertisements. Probably the worst browser you can use for iOS. It’s like using Internet Explorer in the 90’s.
Beta is great! Running for weeks and no issues other than the known apps that aren’t compatible at the moment. Great experience all-around and for 99% of the people here on the forum.
A beta will be fine and everyone who recommend to not install on their daily driver is wrong until you actually have problems.

I don't know what's the use of some people's phone in everyday situation, but for most people its not a toy to mess around with, its actually a thing we need to be reliable.

I’d say that only join if you are interested in giving feedback on how the OS behaves on your device.

For most things: Yes. Until it isn't. What was okay on PB1 was not on PB2 and etc... Something is always changing.
You can but don't be surprised when something critical doesn't work when you really need it.

Been running all the PB on an XS Max.
I’d personally just wait a month and a half. I’m excited to try out PS4 remote play with a DualShock but I can wait 6 more weeks mostly because I just don’t want to update to a new beta every couple weeks leading up to release.
Not nearly as stable as iOS 12.4 for me.

I have it on my primary iPhone, though there may be issues, that is expected with a beta. Additionally, I have a backup archived and know how to quickly roll back to iOS 12, should I have a catastrophic issue. Unless you have a clear picture of what you are doing and can archive a backup in iTunes/ Catalina (if you are running that beta) I would strongly not recommend it.
Here's the thing with betas: It can depend a lot on what apps you use, what Wifi access points you use, etc. A bug may be completely inconsequential for one person but could be an absolute show-stopper for another. I agree with theonekcrow: Make sure you have a way out of the beta without losing your information in case something is a showstopper to you.
