I just started the beta and updated to Public Beta #4. So far so good. No app crashes, nothing crazy going on. Will have to see how battery life is since this will be my first full day.

It works fine for me on my iPhone XS Max besides Band and Evernote not working correctly. I do have some issues rarely when using my wireless charger where it will not charge even though it’s on the stand al night. Otherwise overall I’m pretty impressed.

Funny, Evernote NEVER works correctly in betas, going back to iOS 4 IIRC. I wonder why, many apps work without seemingly any major issues.

I think the latest beta is pretty good. I haven’t encountered any major bugs yet.
Interestingly enough I already ran into a respring a few times simply trying to scroll through or tap on some notifications in the notifications center in the latest beta, all while I essentially only came across one sort of random respring with all the prior betas.

Well of course user experience will vary from person to person. I actually had more resprings on iOS 12 when I first got my XS. I’m sure sure I’ll get one on this beta, but haven’t encountered any so far.

I'm pretty fussy; and up till iOS 12 beta 3 or so, I wouldn't use them as a daily driver.

With both 12 and 13, beta 3 has been stable enough to use as a daily driver; honestly I've encountered no issues; the ones I HAVE encountered I'd blame on the app developers anyways. LOL

I am currently on iOS 12.4 on iPhone X. Is iOS 13 stable enough to use on my daily driver? Is the battery life lower? Are there any stutters or lags? I just can’t stand not having dark mode so I am getting the itch to update.

Maybe, maybe not. YMMV. It really depends on your personal tolerance for little things that aren't quite "right".

It seems reasonably stable for me... but all it takes for things to go south real fast is an "must have" app that doesn't work... and keep a charger handy... battery life can be a rollercoaster with the beta releases.

Backup your device with an encrypted backup before installing the beta... and archive that backup. Failure to do that will leave you with no way back, short of starting over with your device (read: possible data loss).

I don't think it is OP, and I'd wait. Things can be running fine and then all of a sudden go haywire. Example: I've been running iOS 5 Dev Beta since it came out. It was running ok, but killing the battery on my Apple Watch Series 4 and with the occasional hiccup here and there. Then out of no where I turned on Do not Disturb and the phone would not recognize when I turned it off. The icon would go away but it still silenced every single notification I got and sent all calls directly to voicemail. I re-booted the phone numerous times but there was no way out of it besides restoring to iOS 12.

Point being that the beta's might run fine for a while but you can run into major issues that cause problems for you and force you to go back to a stable OS.

From what I've been reading, iOS 13 sounds like a complete disaster right now. I wouldn't do it.

If you value dark mode over some incompatibility? Well, yes, yes it is. Beta on ipad pro, iphone and even more crazy with a developer build on my watch.

I have PB running on a secondary iPhone. It's been pretty stable for me, but since I use my Xs for critical tasks (ie. work and banking apps) I wouldn't dare install the PB on it. I'll wait for the official release in September.

I'd say that if you don't use your iPhone for work or critical tasks, then the PB works well enough on a DD.

For a member that’s so sensitive to lags and stutters, any iOS past iOS 10 will not satisfy this OCD demand I’d argue, cause this iOS 13 beta stutters and lags randomly. Also, home button lag...

Odd, it seems like for the most part pretty much the opposite seems to be getting implied by a lot of the feedback.

Seems kind of buggy so far, but only on it half a day. Apps crash a lot and smart invert is buggy. But overall seems stable for every day use.

Depends if your daily driver is mission critical. If you absolutely rely on your data being safe and usable then the answer is no. If you’re more of a casual user then it’s pretty low risk based on my experience so far. Personally I keep another device on production software, and keep absolutely everything in iCloud across all my Apple machines. If it’s your sole iOS device and can’t afford to lose any data then you’d be a fool to run beta software.

Having said all that, you should always make sure you are protected from full system failure anyway.
