It's far too early to say yet. Wait for one of the evaders to confirm.

Just because it says it's not support doesn't mean its been patched. If I plug a 6.1.2 device in, it would say it's not supported because well...it's not listed to be supported.

My prediction: Apple will not close the exploit until after iOS 7.1 GM.

The Jailbreak is making iOS 7 appear better in tech sites while Apple sorts out that unfinished mess.

After seeing iOS 7.0.4 on my new iPad air, I can say that I wouldn't be able to contain myself if the public release of iOS 7.1 IS jailbroken!

Fingers crossed. I would absolutely LOVE to jailbreak 7.1.

Wasn't there an update during ios5 that Apple never patched? I'm pretty sure they jailbroke 5.1 then apple released 5.1.1 and didn't patch the jailbreak. I could be wrong.

Anyone remember this? Am I wrong? (It's very possible but I feel like apple gave three us a bone a couple years ago when the jailbreak was so close to a minor update).

I don't think it comes down to whether or not Apple decides to be nice. It will just be how long it will take them to patch one of the exploits, how much it will cost (both real-time and the cost of whoever works on patching it to have been working on something else instead). And probably the biggest part, how much of a security threat these exploits actually are.

If Apple has better things to do, the exploit(s) don't do massive harm (especially in real-world sceanrio's) and it would just take too long and cause a big delay of 7.1 release...then maybe..just maybe...they'll release 7.1 and wait for 7.1.1 to patch the new security issues. But considering they only have to patch one exploit to break the whole jailbreak, it's unlikely they won't try to fix the easiest one before 7.1 :(

I hear you but it's been cited by less credible sources too :p

I'd wager it is indeed vulnerable

Fair enough.

But on the other side of that coin, I really do question WHY they would say something, if it is indeed vulnerable. As pod2g so disgustedly said, since the 6.1.[3-5] jailbreak came out, Apple could patch that major hole that could be used for current and future jailbreaks, so this could give Apple more onus to patch these in the next or upcoming betas.

Wouldn't have been more beneficial to wait until 7.1 is released, let alone the GM available, to say that this is still vulnerable?

If the final IS patched and evad3rs can't jailbreak it, this forum better get ready for the onslaught of people asking how to install the beta!

I foresee an all out civil war between the masses and the "devs" that chime in about how the betas are for devs only....

It wouldn't matter, because of the expiration date on the beta, especially if there isn't a downgrade path back to 7.0.4.

there is a reason why they call it a BETA, especially when it is supposed to be buggy, not stable, etc. If those 'masses' don't like it, too bloody bad.
