I find that circles are softer and much more inviting.
That looks serene to me. I don't like the actual icons, but those round shapes look absolutely calming.
Humans always complain. Circles is not the issue.I'm sure there will not be a lot of happy people if they switch to the circles, just look at the discussions here when MR changed its avatars to round shape.
Bad decision for avatars, it simply limits creativity and what can be done with the usable area. Not to mention it doesn't match the rest of the forum very well and leaves a lot more wasted space around the avatar. After seeing what MacRumors went through after switching to round avatars? Highly doubt it.
How do you play around with circular icons?i wouldnt mind it, i am not opposed to change unlike so many other ppl. in fact i love having new things to play around with ^^
I very much would like to see icons move to circles, would make the home screen look less cluttered as it does now.

i agree, the layout of Apple watch is horrendous and moving about the home screen makes me feel sick! The idea of circular icons is great, provided that they change some of them to fit. I'm all for this as long as they don't use the Apple Watch's layout...
Not sure how that would work out with third party apps. The idea of circular icons is great, provided that they change some of them to fit. I'm all for this as long as they don't use the Apple Watch's layout...

Two words: FUG LY
On OS X, the safari icon looks great. It is round.I would never have thought that - but it looks stunning.
That Safari icon - 1000x better than the definition of Ugliness that we have right now.
What is really odd in my opinion is the absence of "9" banners like the previous years when they showed "8" , "7" and "6". Does this mean a change in the naming of upcoming iOS versions?
