I have no problems whatsoever with 15. My only complaint is the placement of the three dots at the top, sometimes I hit it when I am trying to hit the address bar in safari. Huge fan of home screen widgets on ipad

Bugs on iPhone & AW.

Airplay to ATV - safari freezes when video ends or you stop airplay

AW - now playing controls not working/ synched with phone, controlling noise cancellation with watch works half the time,

iPhone music cuts off like a scratched cd with all Bluetooth connections (car, AirPods),

Both my phone and ipad are still on 14. I waited because I’d heard 15 was buggy and wasn’t convinced that the bugs were worth the features. I was going to wait for 15.1 - it came out and all I heard was dealing with bugs. Then waited for 15.2. Same thing. I figure there will always be some bugs to deal with, but it sounds like so many are things that should have been fixed. Not minor stuff, but large obvious bugs that I can’t deal with. So I wait. Just from reading the beta testers thread, I’m really surprised some of the reported stuff hasn’t been fixed

I have no complaints. I appreciate the new features (Focus, multitasking UI, iPad widgets) and have not experienced any bugs that others in this thread have described.

This one. I don’t have it now but it’s something I’ve experienced over multiple devices and OS version. Often a restart or disconnect/reconnect helps but not always.

Having said that, 15.2 has been fantastic for me. Very happy with it right now. The auto brightness bug on beta 3 was horrible but just like with crazy pain, the body forgets and moves on.

I jumped on at iOS15.1, and it’s been perfectly fine for me on my iPhone 11. Granted, I’m a low user and mainly use Apple apps, but have a few 3rd party too. I don’t use the new notification summary feature, nor the new Focus options, I only turn on Do Not Disturb and also use the Sleep focus as existed in previous versions (set up via the Health app). I’ve not had issues with Bluetooth, WiFi or 4G connectivity. I like the new Safari with the address bar at the bottom.

iPadOS15.1 (on an iPad 11” 2018) has been fine for the most part, but not quite as good as the iPhone. My (admittedly minor) annoyances with the iPad are:
  • The weather widget doesn’t update after 00:00, I need to click on the widget for it to open weather.com in Safari and then it starts to update again, until the next day.
  • The Shortcuts widget sometimes doesn’t respond at all, I have to remove it and re-add it.
  • Battery life is disappointing.
  • I’m not a fan of the iPad home screen, I preferred iPadOS14 as the icons stayed in the same place regardless of the device orientation.
  • I used to be able to close iCloud tabs on other devices by just swiping them closed. Now I have to long press on an open tab and then click on close in the context menu (this on iPhone too).
As far as bugs go, I only seem to be having them with 2 widgets on the iPad. My experience is that iOS15 and iPadOS15 are much better than iOS13 and iPadOS13.

Yup. And here I sit with an iPhone 12 mini and ipp 12.9. Not installing until basic things like bluetooth and wifi are ironed out.

Its been a little buggy but 15.3 beta 1 seems to be going in the right direction..so there is hope for those that don’t do the beta train..good stuff is coming..

Zero major issues with anything on either of our iPad 9.7s (original), the wife’s iPhone 7+ or any other of our newer devices. A few minor things but nothing worth speaking about.

Finally jumped to 15.2 from 14.8.1 on my 7+. The app privacy report is a really nice feature as it adds accountability to apps and sites.

I also love the new Safari UI, with the address bar at the bottom. Easier to use. Am I the only one? Makes total sense with the increasingly taller aspect ratios.

Overall UI (eg settings app) feels narrower though, as Apple is adding more empty spaces on the sides.

No ill effects so far. Can’t comment much on battery life, although stand by time seems the same as iOS 14.

iOS 15 was definitely buggy at the .0 release. But I feel 15.2 is a safe upgrade now.

iOS 15 is good, but it must also be admitted that it wasn't an enormous update, and the initial public release had many functionalities disabled.

iPhone XR here.
I also think that iOS 15 is a disaster.
Constant lags everywhere, especially with the swipe to home animation. Stutters, crashes, freezes.
We have a specific thread going on in here about these issues.
I’m on iOS 15.3b1 and nothing’s changed so far.
If there were a method to downgrade to iOS 14 I’d do it immediately.

I’m having issues with iMessage and multi tasking on an iPad and battery life on an iPhone 13 pro max .

None of these issues on iOS 14

I am finding pretty significant typing lag on my iPad Mini 5. The re-designed Home Screen is also dumb, but I can mostly deal with it. The lag is unacceptable.

Overall, I like iOS 15. Sure there are bugs (e.g. cell service, Apple Music, CarPlay) but the feature sets (e.g. LiveText, Health, Focus, Message, notifications) outweight the bugs.
My wife’s shiny new iPhone 13 Pro with iOS 15.x will not connect to our 2015 VW Passat’s bluetooth. It is not carplay. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Tony

My iPad 6th generation updated to 15.2 a week ago. Since then mail has not worked. See attached for a screen cap. Spent 3 lovely hours with Apple tech support. No luck. Anyone else having this problem? Got a fix?
Thanks,
Tony

haven’t noticed any bugs but the additions of the 3 dots top center and the quick notes swipe without the ability to disable the features is bothersom.

seems to me this iOS edition was created to impede other non-apple programs, mainly Edge with the 3 top dots.
closing a tab is impossible and takes several attempt to do so.
there are many bugs and crashes that happen on the 2017 Gen 5 iPad, and the camera photos get worse every upgrade. Since this could be the last supported iOS for this iPad edition, i wish i stuck with 14, or even 11 so that would interact with a Gen 3 tv mirroring and air play wise.

Since upgrading my iPhone 7 to 15.2 it has these weird lock ups in apps from time to time and the overall system performance is slower. feels like an iPhone 6 now.
I really hope they fix those lags.
