Hi Guys,

I’m curious to know what you all think about the iPhone 17’s screen size. I’m not asking about the Pro or Pro Max models, just the standard iPhone 17. Do you find the 6.1-inch screen big enough that you wouldn’t want a larger one? I currently use an iPhone 16 Plus and I often feel it’s a bit bulky, both in weight and height, mainly because of its 6.3-inch display.

The iPhone 16 Plus frequently pops out of my trouser or jeans pocket, which I dislike. I think the iPhone 17 could be a good compromise – not too small but also not too large to feel cramped while using it for multimedia or other tasks. However, I’m still unsure if it’s the right size for me.

I’d love to hear from actual iPhone 17 users. How do you feel about the screen size when watching videos or multitasking with apps?

It's all subjective.

Your best bet is to hit up a store and just hold the 17 in your hands and use it and see how it is compared to your 16 Plus.

Already done that yes, iPhone 17 does feel small in display when someone is used to the display of iPhone 16 Plus. But now I am deciding between being portable and slight smaller display.

Than the air is the only choice. Weighs as the 17 but display is between 17 and max. Comes of course with other compromises

17 and 17 Pro both have the same screen size of 6.3", not 6.1".
Also just to add they are 100% identical in terms of display tech, so OLED with 120 hz Promotion (and high brightness). Much better than the 16 Plus you are coming from, and 6.3” is probably the largest size you can use one handed for the average person.

The best choice is to get the 17 even the 17e over the 16 plus.

The 17 is better than the 16 plus in every way and the 17e is better than it in most categories ( and they are both cheaper than the 16 plus)

Though 16 plus is a decent iPhone
