With the overheating issue is it really worth opening the box?

All I know is my 14 pro max worked like a charm till I upgraded to 17.0.1.

I’m afraid I’m jumping into the fire with the 15 pro max.

Send it back and wait for the real upgrade next year. It's not like your 14 Pro is a slouch.

Just keep it sealed in 50 years time you may get a lot of money for it on an Apple dedicated auction. The selling point would be Apples first iPhone that sold like hot cakes (literally)

How does the Pro Max feel in hand in comparison to the Pro? Is it manageable or do you prefer the Pro? The 13 and 14 Max’s felt like bricks to me.
I think the PM feels great to be honest, and I’ve decided to keep it.

The regular pro is awesome as well and probably better suited to one hand usage, but I really like the extra screen real estate on the PM.

To give some context, I’m coming from a 13 mini and I don’t find the weight to be an issue at all.

I’ve used the 14 max previously and can honestly say the weight redistribution in the 15PM is really something else.

It feels like it’s more ‘bottom heavy’ so it’s much easier to hold and manoeuvre in the hand.

My 15 Pro Max heats up only when in direct sunlight and at 2000 nits brightness. We’re still pushing 90°F here in the southern U.S., so the phone will naturally heat up anyway. Otherwise, it stays pretty cool. My 14 Pro Max was the same way, except I’m not experiencing any screen dimming in direct sunlight on this 15 Pro Max. Also, this is the first iPhone since the iPhone 7 models (not including jet black) where I don’t feel the urgency to put it in a case due to the fingerprint magnets the XS-14 Pro models were.
