I think Catalina is great! Seems to run smoother and more stable than any previous versions. I guess because of the 64bit structure.
Only problem for me, and it's pretty monumental, is the splitting up of iTunes. My libraries/playlists of music/video have lost ALL artwork/icons. See here:
