Is it possible that bad RAM prevents Mac Pro 5.1 from powering up?

you only need a CPU in the first socket installed to boot (but fans will blow full blast) so might be worth trying both CPU's in slot 1
(will that work ? iv never done it so don't know if you can swap them, never tried )
to check if one is bad

IN CONCLUSION (!)

After trying different combinations, spells and such, I had no choice but to pronounce my cMP temporarily dead; I am going to try to get different CPUs as soon as I can find something cheap, if not MB or PSU are out;

Just finished assembling Skylake Based PC for the matter of further gaming; Using same Video card, ext PSU I used in my Mac with no issues;

I just take a drill and drill through old HDDs that I dispose of. Your way
