I've been using mine about 6 months. Use it, on average, 6 days a week for exercise and think it's great for anyone logging their activity. Also, the messaging and notification features alone make it a no brainier for me! Highly recommended.

I agree and this is what I did - bought a gold sport 42mm for $250. Sort of a test case - do I want/like/need it in my life? So far the answer for me is yes.

And, if I find any big shortcomings I feel worth rectifying with an AW2, I figure I won't get hurt too badly selling this one.

Same thought here. I started with 38MM Spacegray Sport AW, had it for half a year and found a place for it in my life. Decided later to buy the SS AW 38mm for reduced price (mint condition for about 400$) because of growing band collection and "better"/"luxurious" look. No regrets, wonderful product :)

Hello everyone.

I have been thinking very hard on this subject buy I can't get to a solution so after reading a lot of threads I have decided finally to ask you. Let's see if you can clear my mind.

I'm traveling to Japan next week. The Apple watch there is much cheaper than in my country (Spain). I've been thinking on buying one there or even try to buy a second hand Apple Watch if I can find any but, is it worth it?

I don't know if I should wait for Apple watch 2. I would really appreciate you thoughts about the matter. Thank you!

I would wait till september to see. I wouldn't want to buy something 2 years old (announcement) and then 3 months later regret that I didn't wait. Simple as that.

There is a learning curve with the AW. By September, you will have the WOS3 improved version to also learn.

Any hardware improvements on the AW2 will be for added storage and minor adjustments that are only incremental.

As you said, a secondary AW would be perfect now.

One other thing to consider is that you can get really good discounts on the Watch now.

And when a new watch is released (whenever that is, could be next year) it's back to full pricing (or wait another six months for that to drop.)

How patient are you?

Worth it to buy if you get the $200 off sale. B&H had the space black SS for $200 off and a free stand and one other time they had the 42mm SS for $200 off and a stand and a $75 couple n to buy an extra band. Then it is worth it to me.

Thanks everyone for your replies. So, I think that if I can find a bargain I will buy it. If I don't I'll wait until AW2

Best Buy has selected AW models for $200 off. Don't know how that's not a bargain, but you'll need to act soon before Father's Day ends (or shortly thereafter). They hold these loss leader sales only around major holidays.

Well, thing is I'm travelling to Japan, not the USA so I don't know if there will be some big store with discounts as that one. In Spain there aren't any.
