I worry about electricity quality and PSU/other PC components taking a hit due to electrical quality that is beyond my control.
Would you say that an online UPS would be the best solution to this issue? Online UPS units feed power from the battery always. So if there was a power outage, there should be 0 change in electricity to what is attached. Also It seems as though this would be the cleanest power as it comes from the batteries, not the grid. But I am just guessing here. If there was a benefit to online UPS units I would think more people would use them. I don't know anyone that does.
Online UPS example:
APC Smart-UPS On-Line, 1000VA, Tower, 120V, 6x 5-15R NEMA outlets, SmartSlot, Extended runtime, W/O rail kit - SRT1000XLA | APC USA
SRT1000XLA - APC Smart-UPS On-Line, 1000VA, Tower, 120V, 6x 5-15R NEMA outlets, SmartSlot, Extended runtime, W/O rail kit | APC USAwww.apc.com
I don't run anything without a UPS. In my experience they are very common.
