Yes indeed, i'm sure most people just here on Macrumours use their iPads whilst sitting on the throne lol, nothing to be ashamed of, its just convenient. Before it was a magazine or newspaper, but now its iPads.
I know a girl who has an ipad in her shower. She put it in a waterproof casing.

I wonder if Apple will partially match the specs of the Base Galaxy Tab 8 to the Air 5 which are direct competitors. That Tab 8 has a variable refresh rate 120 mhz LCD screen i.e. Pro-motion.
It's the Samsung Tab 8+ that has the 120hz and Super AMOLED, the Tab 8 is 60hz and a TFT panel. The 8+ is also $150CDN more than the 11" 2021 M1 ipad Pro.

Oh yes I know the Tab 8+ has both AMOLED screen and 120 Mhz VRR screen, that’s why I said the base Tab 8 which at least has the VRR screen and a normal LCD screen like the Air.

There is no way Apple would even consider putting BOTH OLED and Pro-motion on the Air 5th gen, that’s just wishful thinking.

The X1 Nano and M1 MBA, I use maybe 2-3x a year and often, that's just to install OS and software updates. Meanwhile, all of my primary iPads are used 3-4 hours a day on average.
It is just that all the apps you need are available on the iPads? When you bought the X1 Nano, what were you intending to use it for, and did it not meet that need? I am considering one (the other one I'm considering is the Vaio SX12, but I think I'm leaning more towards the X1 Nano). I thought about an iPad, but I'm not sure if it will solve my Apple-screen-causes-headaches issue and more importantly, if I want to use it to do my taxes the only option is online which I don't like and is a deal breaker for me.

I have always-on Windows desktop PCs both at home and work. Work is pretty much 99% Windows desktop. Home is pretty much 90% iPad (primarily reading and web). When I need to do something that the iPad can’t handle, I normally use the home desktop.

The X1 Nano was going to be my media server and desktop replacement when traveling (alas COVID). It was also an overdue replacement to my ~10-year old Windows 7 Sandy Bridge laptop. I really like the X1 Nano (my favorite ultraportable thus far). I just don’t have much use for it at the moment. That said, I always keep at least one desktop and one laptop so I have a backup in case one of them breaks down.

I think Air 5 will come with A15, centerstage camera and Face ID. That's it. No way it comes with OLED or 120hz. Maybe a slight bump in ram to 6GB, maybe.

Yes your probably right (hopefully not Face ID though, as prefer power button Touch ID). I guess we will find out in a couple of weeks!
