The good side of the grass.
I agree the air is perfect for those things. Would of been nice to be able to watch movies on long flights though and during my lunch breaks.

I had the MB before and never had any problems with videos, sure the fan would kick in but it wouldnt result in everything slowing down and videos stuttering.

I was hoping someone would tell me ive just been unlucky and the MBA is fine for watching videos on. Seems like it wasn't built for that :( so disappointed considering its such a nice looking machine.

I can watch movies all the way through without stuttering or getting too hot encoded in mp4 or mov in QT. Every time I use VLC it gets my fans going.

I had the 1.6ghz/80gb hdd model and I remember I played 720p movies and trailers just fine and 1080p stuttered a bit.. I'm guessing you have a defective mba. I wouldnt see why it would be defective when the machine itself runs fine.

Either way I sold the mba, which I thought the fan was too loud and still gets pretty hot and its soo easy to push the mba to its limits for the fan to revv up.

I'll be waiting for rev. b.
