I have just recently got a iPad it came in the original iPad box and was sealed but someone told me it was a refurb I do not no if they was just joking or not.
Apple doesn't sell refurbs in the original boxes.

To repeat what others have already said, if your iPad came in the normal white retail box, and the serial number on that box matches the serial number of your iPad, it shouldn't be a refurb.

Just check the warranty status online and see when it started... If you're suspicious that it's not a brand new iPad, it wouldn't be on Apple's end, but with the store selling a customer return or something.

The model number is not the KEY, the Serial Number should be exact matches on the iPad and the sticker on the bottom corner of the back of the retail box.

If your iPad was a true new purchase, it should be easy to check on the Apple warranty site

Don't you think it's good business to clear all history, hard drive/flash drive, icloud account both on machine and server, any connection to the old owner?

I can make a sticker that shows any matching numbers I want, as can Apple

i can run the serial number for you if you would like (through Apple's internal technician system). I have found that for iPhones, it will say refurbished if it is refurbished.

Just pm if you want.
hi ZZ, would it be okay for you to check if my Ipad is Refurbished please. It was apparently a new replacement from Apple Covent Garden due to a technical issue with my old one, Its 3RD Gen. how should i send you the serial number?thanks and regards, Sarie
