Yea mate, it's safe. No probs here either. I was a little apprehensive, but I went from 10.4.6 to .4.8 with no probs at all. :)

So glad to see someone else has been having the same issue as me. Since upgrading to 10.4.8, my MBP will randomly shut down if I'm operating on battery power for too long. Or, if I start up on battery power, it shuts down within 15 seconds. Did anyone else experiencing RSD notice this connection with the power source?

Update to the latest firmware for the Macbooks. It's in Software Updates.

i updated to 10.4.8 the day it came out and it's been perfect. i updated the firmware yesterday too ad have had no problems what so ever.
