Constantly hearing that a software fix will solve those camera issues but we will see.

I think the Moto X is probably the "smartest" phone in the bunch. My wife has the HTC One and the only reason she would switch to a Moto X is because she can get it in pink.

Motorola is notorius for their lackluster cameras. I don't think a software fix can fix bad hardware. If the new iPhone fails to peak my interest, I am going to give the MotoX a try. I keep hearing how intelligent it is so we'll see. :)

A bad camera is a bad camera. Software fixes can only do so much.

I've experienced "software fixes" for the lackluster HTC One camera, and it still stinks.

I know I make a big stink about the HTC One's camera every time it's brought up in discussion but that's because it stinks big time.

ah yes, because you can see the arrangements on a full hd screen your not jumping on any bandwagon at all...........
Because everyone's as blind as you are. Pentile displays look horrible to people with functional eyes next to regular displays. The S4's display uses circles instead of squares and in a diagonal fashion. Meaning that 1) all solid backgrounds look like micro mesh because circles don't fill up as much surface area as squares and 2) all vertical and horizontal straight lines look like micro zigzags. And it uses more energy while being half as bright. And it burns in far faster.

It's just a worse screen in every single category but contrast.

I got my HTC One once it hit Verizon. And i have not regretted it ever since. I do miss some features from IOS, but i will live. I am disappointed more in the lack of some apps not making the Google play store. But also will live. I just have to wait till they release and android app for the few apps that i don't have yet. Overall i am very impressed with the One. I love the build quality. And impressed with jelly bean. I love the new sense. And unlike others, i don't really have that bad of an opinion on the camera.

Also, if anyone has any questions for someone like me that went from ios to the htc one please let me know. I have used android and apple products before, so i am familiar with both systems.
