The battery life and heat issue with the A17 Pro was well blown out of proportion. The over heating was due to a version of ios 17 when the 15 Pro was released, but other iphone models were also heating up. After an update that heat issue was resolved completely, and i have had very good battery life on my 15 Pro, the Mini 7 has large battery so should be completely fine.

I never mentioned an issue. I just said it wasn’t very good.

Just compare the battery life of the iPhone 15 Pro and 16 Pro. Some of the battery life improvement is due to the slightly larger batteries (9-10%) in the new iPhones, but the battery life is almost 30% better (in standardized tests), so most of it comes from the efficiency gains of the A18.

The rest of the hardware is nearly the same, or similar.
