Possible OSX 10.9 software to use

Hi,

Yes it should work on a newer Mac. The reason we specify Windows on that model is because that's the software that comes with it and its USB only -which until moderately recently, Mac did not support natively. If you buy that version it will not have OSX authoring or playback software in the box.

However, as long as your Mac has native USB 3.0 support and you have all the appropriate software already there shouldn't be an issue.

~mn, LaCie

This same problem has shown up on Apple Support pages with this same device. There as here comments were made by a LaCie tech that they only supply software for Windows. Found this software the other day and all the ratings on it are 5 star so if may work and it is not very expensive. Seems odd that LaCie has stopped making any blu-ray drives and yet so many problems exist. I am looking for a blu-ray player to hook up to my 2009 iMac and plan on buying a new iMac in the near future. Hope this helps. http://www.macblurayplayer.com Actually I think I have seen this someplace but not sure where on these blogs so I hope I am not repeating what somebody else has already posted. I should note that this software says it is good for OSX 10.9 and Windows 8.1 Good Luck

Im using Mavericks 10.9.3 but somewhere in updating to this version my Lacie stopped working. Its still recognised but can't read any discs, it just tries to read every 2 seconds and doesn't stop. No device appears when inserting a disc.

Has anyone found a solution?

Hi,
I do have same problem. Did you found a solution?
Thanks,
karel
