Do you find the 120hz helps you get lost less when scroling through big documents or libraries?
Good question. On my iPad Pro, I definitely believe it does, since it's right up close and my eyes can better track what's moving.

On the laptop, I'm not sure yet. Looks nice and smooth, but of course I'm further away from the display and I've got almost 53-year-old eyes to begin with, and I've only had my 14" MBP for a few weeks, so I'm uncertain as yet. But I'm leaning towards a "yes" since it's similar to what a 'smooth scrolling' setting on a browser might do with a scroll wheel versus jumping up one line at a time.

Interesting, will there be no improvement with black text on white background from the miniled?

depends on how many zones can be dimmed / turned off.

only OLED offers true blacks for every single pixel as it doesn't require any backlighting.
That's why Apple's mini LED displays have blooming, since it is not pixel perfect, as some areas around the edges are still lit

Using an MBP 16 M1Max for SAP development work because sadly Apple doesn't make any cheaper big screen laptops. Wish they have a MBA 16" though as the power of the M1Max is just overkill for most scenarios which ain't related to video editing, photo editing or 3d modelling. I swear an m1/m2 with 16gb is pretty much what an average user would really need.
