Hi,

Is the beta stable enough to use daily? I can live with small bugs but not big ones. Any comments would be welcome.

Thanks

I won't put it on my iPhone but it is pretty solid on my iPad. I would not recommend installing it on an important device yet. you will be pissed when keys disappear...

I didn't use the two fingers trackpad now. The glitch started when I tried to type a URL and then continued in Safari. But outside Safari the keyboard returns to normal.
Try reporting it in the Feedback app if you haven't already. But I have installed the public beta on an iPhone 4s and iPhone 5 and iPhone 6 dedicated to app development and my personal iPhone 6 and none of them have had that keyboard glitch. iOS 9 has been very stable on my iPhone 6, but not so much on my 4s.

I've installed it on my iPad Air 2 now and am loving it! The new multitasking features and notes app are insane. Not sure the I'll be as impressed with the iphone version as theres no multitasking which is a huge improvment on iPad.

I wish they allowed the iPad Air to do multi tasking too :(

I know it's probably a hardware limitation but still

A few of my apps aren't working and iCloud photo library is stuck on preparing my photo library and won't download all my photos from iCloud. I've read a few people are having same issues with iCloud photo library.

What about the battery life on iPhone 6? I've read numerous reports stating the drain is heavy, whereas some people claim it's the same as iOS 8.4.

I'd like to install the Public Beta for iOS 9, but I have heard that iOS 8 iCloud Backups are deleted and other iOS 8 devices cannot backup. Has anybody here experienced any issues with iCloud Backup on iOS 9?

It deleted all my iCloud backups and my notes no longer sync when I went back to 8.4

I ran the public beta for about a day before going back to 8.4. The installation went fairly smooth other than a random restart in the middle (not usual install restart). It was pretty smooth for a beta but there were a couple of issues. First of all I was having constant issues with iMessage. It would stop sending them and my phone would tell me that it was server issues. The only way I could get it working again was to turn iMessage off then on again. Even then that would only work for a short while. Battery life was okay for a beta but it was still draining quicker that I was willing to deal with. I took my phone off the charger at 7 am and it was at 15 percent at 8 pm. Normally it's around 50-60 percent by the time I'm putting it on charge. Overall system stability was decent. Not to many stutters and no freezes. I think I'll try again with the second beta release. I have the beta installed on my iPad mini 2 and it's been almost flawless. I'm running an iPhone 6 plus by the way.

I'm running the beta on my iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2. Haven't had any issues at all. Works great and only minor bugs. I recommend installing the beta if you want to use it. Besides if you ever did have an issue you can just roll back to 8.4 as long as you do a backup on iTunes before the update :)

Well, I don't think so. My iPad has been a little crazy now... Texts losing... And many more things... I think you should wait for DP 4-6 or PB 2 or 3

Mostly running fine for me. No major crashes, yet to have a full respring, and all my apps work. Did a clean restore of 8.4 with no backup, then installed the beta profile and updated to 9.0.

The only thing that i can't pin down is random battery drain. One day I'll have battery more amazing than anything I had before, then it'll get super hot and burn through 20% in an hour. Im thinking its probably some kind of diagnostic software collecting data in the background (battery usage shows background activity in Settings to be the culprit).

Honestly, if you have an iPad, go with that. Gets you the whole experience yet doesn't leave you stranded if it unexpectedly dies or crashes.
Yeah that's how I did it. I put beta 1 on my iPad then when public beta launched I put that on my phone. iPads are a great way to test drive betas without potentially messing up a device you will need.
