I would think it's true since Apple probably would want to keep pricing the same. Increasing prices to all iPhone lineup might turn off many consumers.
Assuming on the rumors, the difference between the 13 and 14 will be:
- More RAM and GPU core. 14 will use the 13 Pro version of A15, which have 6GB of RAM and 1 more GPU core.
- More efficient 5G modem (Qualcomm X65 vs X60 on the 13).
- Better ultrawide and front facing camera with auto-focus.

That's pretty much it on the hardware side. There might be some software features that are exclusives to the 14 series, but no rumors so far on iOS16 betas.

In general, there is such an expectation. But can you tell me then what is the difference between 13 and 14? Isn't it wrong somewhere to save everything for the Pro one? It's also ridiculous that the notch is not on the Pro but on the 14. Do you think Apple will do this nonsense?
Absolutely. They’ve been fragmenting devices for a long time. Look no further than the iPad Pro. It’s a totally different design than the iPad. Has had much better display, form factor, FaceID, much more RAM, much more powerful processor, different accessories. But…the user experience is somehow virtually identical. As will be the case between the 14 and 14 Pro.

I guess they want to push more people towards the Pro models. And to be honest, just to have 120Hz refresh rate, I would go for a Pro.

This will be especially noticeable next year with the iPhone 15 Pro, with the A17 built on 3nm and the body redesign, USB-C, periscope lens…
I don't think there will be a body redesign with the 15 Pro.
We are getting the "redesign" with the pill/hole-design display this year and I believe it's here to stay AT LEAST for two years/generations of the Pro-line.
