This would seem to me to be one of the most basic and needed tweaks. If it doesn't exist that is retarded. Sometimes you need your phone locked quickly and shouldn't have to go through 8 menus.

Try CleverPin (in cydia). Locks/unlocks based on location (i.e. at home/work on wifi).

Nope. I wish we can change the pin erase trigger from 10 attempts to 5 tries before it does a full erase.

I know there is a tweak that disables the lockcode based on wifi networks.. You enter which are "safe" networks and your phone will not ask for code when connected to these. hope this helps..

That's completely useless since the vast majority of the time you are nowhere near a wifi network

I would imagine that would vary by user. The vast majority of the time I am near a Wi-Fi network... (Work and Home) So not exactly useless. But back to your main question, I'm not sure I'm following. What would the point of a passcode be if you could simply toggle it off? I feel like I'm not understanding the original question.

What is confusing about this? You can only toggle it on/off when it's unlocked. You toggle it on when you go in public in case you set it down. Makes perfect sense, and is a great idea

As far as I remember, there is no toggle like that (for SBSettings or for Activator). But I don't have access to cydia on my non-JB iPhone 5 to see if there is anything now.

It sounds to me that CleverPin would solve your problem. It would automatically toggle the lock depending on your location (like when you're at home, for example), instead of you having to remember to do it when you go out. Only thing is, it used to be a paid app (I'm not sure if it still is paid or if it is free now).

You can turn it off when it's unlocked... That's where I'm losing you. You can do this via settings/general/passcode lock... The same place you enable it. If you are simply suggesting there should be a shortcut, I find it much more frustrating that you can't turn wifi/Bluetooth on and off via a shortcut. Why are you so mad? Pretty sure people here are trying to help you.

Exactly, that's my point....there should be a shortcut it's a huge hassle to have to go through three menus to do something simple. There is a shortcut for wifi/Bluetooth. Sbsettings.

Sorry didn't mean to seem short, I just felt like I wasn't being understood.

Thanks for the tip ritmomundo! I just installed clever pin on my wife's iPhone 4 to unlock on our home network. Works great.

Waiting for OS6 jailbreak to install it on my iPhone 5. I hate having to constantly unlock my phone, so I always leave it unlocked now. This feature is just perfect for my needs since I only need to have my phone locked when I'm out of the house in case it's lost or stolen. Well worth the $1.99. This is a feature or App that Apple must look at. This is one of the most usefull apps to have.

Seriously? I find an auto or simple toggle phone unlocking feature much more useful than quick Bluetooth on/off. How much power does the updated Bluetooth consume? I've tested it and it's battery drain is negligible.

How is this perfect? It's a pain to have to type in a password every single time you open your phone outside of your home, why would you want to do this? Rather than have an arbitrary system automatically decide when to lock your phone wouldn't you rather have easy access to enabling it yourself? The majority of the time the phone is in your possession and therefore not in danger of being accessed by others, the only time you would need it locked is if you set it down or someone asks to borrow it.

Can cleverpin be configured to automatically turn passcode lock ON when you're connected to a specific wifi network? For example, if you don't want your kids picking up your phone at homd and playing with it, can you set it to turn the passcode lock on when you connect to your network at home?
