MBP C2D 2.2 SR...

Couldn't be more impressed with it. There are a lot of people around the board talking about how crappy Apples quality control is, but I don't agree. I have owned macs for a long time and have moved to a laptop only platform for the last 7-8 years. I can say that if I looked hard enough at every laptop I have owned, I could find tiny things that could have been put together better at the factory. This new MBP is built to perfection and I have yet to find anything that could have been put together better. I thought there was a little bit of the casing that had a small gap, but it was a shadow.

100% satisfied and blown away by it!

I've got a 1.83 CD MBP, which according to some of the "experts" on here should be totally useless.

It's the best computer I've ever had and I love it to bits :D

Don't be fooled by my complaining...

I am very impressed by the new MBP, especially the uber bright LED screens and power/memory to spare. Once I get a non-yellow glossy display I will be golden. :)

I've had a couple of bum displays, but I still think the MBP is a great computer. Its overall design, feature set, and performance is second to none in my book.

I'm very happy with mine. Great, BRILLIANT display. Awesome backlighted keyboard (I've never owned an Apple pro laptop before), sturdy build. Overall an awesome purchase.

I am happy for the most part. Except for the slight yellow tint on the bottom 1/3, it's the best machine ive ever owned!

I am more than happy with my MBP. The only thing I would consider replacing it with is a better MBP. I know this will be hard to believe, if you hang around here long enough, but I have NEVER had to take it in for service. No really, I haven't . Yes, I know it's hard to believe. I mean, I can't believe Apple is still in business when everything they sell is such junk. :D

Coming from an upgrade from a PBG4 to a MBP, I'd say that this is quite a step up for me.

Apart from the little warped lid thingy (nothing new, my PBs and iBooks have gotten it) and that not-so-sturdy trackpad button (a 'feature' of sorts on all MBPs since RevA), I'm certainly very happy with my latest acquisition.

The 10.4.10 update didn't hurt it either, in fact, I feel an apparent improvement in responisveness when I connect to my broadband at home. Previously on 10.4.9, there's usually a little laggy even when I'm using a dedicated ADSL line of 10Mbps.

Jee I'm sorry mr. "whiners" that your macbook pro doesn't eat your FCE disk. Or it doesn't get so hot you feel like you're on the surface of the sun.

Other than that I liked the laptop, but for money reasons I returned it and I am going back to windows

Happy with mine.

As much as folks seem to complain, what they complain about are generally really picky items (except the yellow tint issues). Compared to ALL of the Dell's work has provided me over the last 4 years, Apple quality is an order of magnitude better.

That's what I mean. It seems like when it comes to Apple products, people nitpick over the smallest things. I understand that some people truly got defective products, and I'm not talking about them. But the people who say things like "the left side of the screen is 0.01" higher than the right when I close the laptop" are whining. They're not perfect machines, but out of the experiences I've had with Toshiba, eMachines, Dell, and Apple, my Apple laptops have been the best without a doubt.

Happy with my 2.2 SR MBP!

When I first got it was a little concerned with the screen lid not being totally flat when closed (this is my first aluminum notebook) but now I see that's sort of par for the course with the mbps, and it doesn't really bother me anymore. I think it's flattened out a bit with use, or it just doesn't bother me anymore :)

ecstatic about my 17" SR hi-res glossy.

hi-res has finally came to the mbp. and the graphics card supports directX 10, to satisfy my future gaming urges.

i'm playing Call of Duty 2 and Need for Speed Carbon with no problems.

What's with all these threads all of a sudden - How many times do we have to scream at the top of our lungs how perfect these machines are bfore people will believe us :)

oh, and i'm 110% happy with my SR MBP :apple:

I could see how, scanning the forums, you could come to ask such a question...but yes. The majority of us love our new MBPs. It just happens that people are more likely to make a post about a problem they're having than post about how amazing their computer is.

Sometimes I think that my MBP sucks. Then when I use my nephews Vaio the feeling goes away.

:D That made me laugh!

opticalserenity 2.2 C2D, SR MBP, and very happy. I love it. the 15" LED is gorgeous.

I came from a G4 Powerbook 1.67, and wow, what a difference.

That's great. That's the step I'll be taking in a few months. Quite often we see speed comparisons between a new rev and the old one. It'd be interesting to see one between the 1.67 PB and the new MBP!

Mr Fusion I am very impressed by the new MBP, especially the uber bright LED screens and power/memory to spare. Once I get a non-yellow glossy display I will be golden.

No, you'll be less golden. The colourwash from the screen will be gone! :)
