Just wondering if anyone is not using a stand or dock for their Apple Watch and, if so, what your solution is?

I've just leave mine with the charger on the night stand. It sits in its place fairly unobtrusively.

All this forum talk about stands and I still haven't had the urge to buy one. Maybe I'm missing something.

Same here, charger lays flat on my nightstand and I just plop the watch on it when I go to bed. Not feeling the need for a stand yet, but might get a dual iPhone/Watch stand once more are available.

I also just put mine to charge on my nightstand. If I see something I like that is decently priced, I'll pick it up. Not gonna spend a lot on a piece of wood or plastic that doesn't even have charging capabilities built in.

I would like a compact, relatively inexpensive stand that holds my phone and watch simultaneously, but so far I can find compact ones that are good looking but expensive, or cheap but ugly. As a result I just have the cables sitting on my nightstand. It works fine, and I don't really need a dock, but it would be a nice luxury.

I felt no need for a stand until I put a band with a clasp on it. With the sport band it fits perfectly flat on the table.

I lay it on the. Charger on the side of my bed. Kind of a mess. I want a stand but all the ones available right now are either hideous or overpriced or not yet shipping

It's a little too big and has no cable management.

It's really not that big in person. As for cable management, it has it as much as any other stand i've seen so far. You're gonna have a cable sticking out of any stand, you will never fully hide it.

I've just been rolling up my leather loop to prop up the watch...Works pretty well, especially when traveling.

Just wondering if anyone is not using a stand or dock for their Apple Watch and, if so, what your solution is?

I have some books on my bedside cabinet.

I have an Anker 60w multi USB charger in the mains socket behind the cabinet, that I use to power my iPad Air and the HiRise dock for my iPhone 6.

Now I've got the Watch, I run the charger up and run it through the back of the book (for stability) and there's about 2 inches of cable poking out, so I simply take it off at night and lay it directly on the puck.

I did get the Spigen stand, but mine arrived with the writing on the top of the base. Spine did offer me a £5 discount to keep it, but I really wasn't impressed with the look and feel of the stand, so chose to return it.

I'm happy with my 'take it off and lay it down' option.

I am using my valet box that had cable management holes. I don't need to have the watch next to my bed, that is what my iPhone dock is for. The watch and bands are expensive enough as it is and I don't see a point in spending more money. Why do people need their watches by their bed?

The sport band doesn't fold or lay flat so I bought the Spigen stand and it works great. I had been charging the watch with it on its side, but no more risk of scratches with the stand.

My watch is by the bed because I take it off right before sleeping and put it on as soon as I wake up. Same with my glasses.

Why charge it next to your bed?

Really? That's a question?

Ok......... because that's when I'm done with it, and I'm not gonna need it for 6-8 hours.....

And at 18 bucks for the spigen (with the writing in the right place), it makes it easy....I agree paying for more of a stand is a bit over the top....

Mine lays by the bed just fine.

Cool. I prefer the stand. My band wants to curl and I don't want to deal with it.

Another very simple thing I like is that I don't pull the magnet off the watch, I just lift the watch off the stand and I'm ready to go. It's the little things.

Understood. I have my Puck slotted through the pages of a book on the bedside cabinet, so it's easy to lay the Watch on it and lift it off in the morning.

Horses for courses and all that!

It looks really messy without some sort of stand. Especially if you have one cable for your iphone and one for your apple watch

I see some people here are saying stands are too expensive. While i was waiting for my orzly one to arrive i brought a stand called the twitfish bedside buddy for just 9.99 on amazon. It works perfectly so for anyone wanting a cheap stand i can confirm this does the job perfectly and its available in funky colours as well

I had a orzly apple watch stand on pre order. And wow, i really cannot recommend this enough so im going to post a picture up shortly so you can all see it for yourself. It looks stunning next to my macbook and well its made for the iphone and apple watch so it nearly charges both of them

Will get a pic up for you shortly but there is a good video on youtube for the orzly stand as well. At 17.99 with free delivery from amazon i do not think it is overpriced at all

It's a little too big and has no cable management.

Too big?! The Spigen is Tiny! (seriously, you should see the tiny little box it comes in).

The pictures make it look big. You'll be blown away how small it is.

I'm likely going to paint mine black. Was on the fence, but noticed there's a defect on the base - a little notch in the centre that's quite noticeable. Primer and paint will cover that.

Oh...and I removed the little stick-on feet. Going to put double-sided tape or mactack on the bottom to firmly affix it to the nightstand. (and have the cable drop at the back of the nightstand, to minimize appearance). Likely to paint the cable with a black rubber compound to further minimize its appearance.

I likely wouldn't use a stand if I wasn't getting a link bracelet. Just cleaner to have it on a stand, rather than laying on its side.

Charging the way Apple insisted - with the charger and no additional accessories (charging watch on nightstand)

You're not missing anything. Just another accessory for consumers to buy.

I backed one on Kickstarter, so I'm waiting for it to arrive. This is my solution in the mean time.
