...and perhaps one you wish you'd never bought?

I wish (in a way) that I had kept the SE - I still see loads of them and issue-free amongst people I know and a wider audience. I don't know why I sold mine, except perhaps because I had bought an iPhone 7 (also gone) which turned into my iPhone 8 as a second device.

I regretted at the time buying a 5C even though I got a good price for it, it was an unremarkable device.

And, lastly, are you happy with your current phones? Would you change anything about them?
 
If I had one phone I could still currently keep that I don’t have anymore, that would be my SE. Mainly because it was nice to have the smaller form factor, 3.5 Jack and I could switch phones whenever I wanted a change. But if Apple updates the SE this year, then I will purchase one.

I don’t have any regrets about any phones that I have purchased. I have used android, blackberry and iPhones primarily.

I don’t have any issue with my current phones and there’s not much I really change about them, as technology itself changes all the time. If there was one thing I could change, would be more of the price point. Smart phones sometimes the current increase in cost doesn’t always justify the price point, but that might vary from person to person on what they value or appreciate.
 
I'm still trying to justify the cost of my iPhone X given that it cost more than my MacBook 12. But I have been exploring iOs a lot more thoroughly with this device than any other phone before and have learnt quite a bit, particularly with regard to photography and Personal Information. I've bought a few apps too whereas before I would have gotten the advert-driven ones or not bothered at all.
 
Perhaps "regret" is too powerful a word in my case, but I did feel a bit of remorse when selling off my pristine iPhone 8 Plus. Unlike the iPhone 7 Plus, that phone not only got me back into using an iPhone as a primary device since the 4S, it also felt—and still does to me—like the most refined and polished iPhone design I'd ever owned. While many people dismiss its design as being outdated and a bezel monster, I'm finding it to be part of its charm and appeal. The iPhone 8 Plus' design—to me—is iconic.

So yeah, I kind of wish I still had it but the iPhone X got me far too curious, so I gave in and bought it and sold off the former. In retrospect, I'm super glad I did as the iPhone X is an absolute corker and by far the most joy to use out of all the Android, iOS, and Windows (yes!) phones I've ever owned. I did not think I'd love it as much as I do.

So, to answer your question; Yes! I'm super, super happy with my current iOS phone and the only two things that I'm hoping for in the next iteration are a larger screen (pretty much confirmed) and a better solution to viewing e.g. YouTube videos in full screen mode. I do not like that it's being cut off the way it is and without it the screen is too small.

I've gotten used to the notch wrapping itself around video, or I just put up with the bars - it's certainly still bigger than my 8.

Well, good to hear, I guess? You specifically asked what we'd like to see changed to which I responded.
 
The 3G got me into the iPhone market, but it was too underpowered to be usable for very long. Every iPhone since has been handed down and got at least 4 years worth of usage. The improvements in the 3GS would probably have held up better. At least Apple sold it longer.

The X has been the best so far. Of course, I don't know long term reliability (the 6 had to have battery replaced within 2 years, a hand me down 5, bought new, had battery expand last summer).

Most of the other issues with cell phones have to do with carrier and band support. Already, my X doesn't support all the LTE bands that ATT uses (I'm back on ATT), or T-Mobile (my sister uses). The phones aren't future proof in carrier support . It is hard enough to support everything that is out there by the time the phone releases.
 
I should have kept my 6S Plus. It was 3 months old as Apple had replaced it. Granted iOS 11 was buggy as hell on it, but the phone was essentially new. I bought into the X hype and totally regret it.

I also now will be keeping iPhone's for 3 years at a time. The new features simply aren't worth the price.

Had the iPhone 7. and an se whileI was waiting for my x to come in. I kinda miss the 7 but I absolutely hated the se. worse phone ever imo.
 
If my 6S had the same camera as the 6S+ I would of never updated to the X. That being said, I’m really enjoying the upgrade and don’t miss the 6S..

I thought I had heard that there was only one potential T-Mobile band missing from iPhone X.

Which bands are you missing for those carriers and where? Thanks.

The SE’s dated resolution was the only thing I didn’t like about it. Otherwise, I think for those who really appreciated the SE, wete willing to sacrifice having the latest technology and specifications for smaller a form factor.

Yeah i just didn’t like it. Didn’t see what people seen in it. Honestly reminded me of the cheap $30-$40 androids. It was like that but iPhone version imo.

The major factor with the SE is the form factor and one handed use comfortability. That’s mainly it. There are those who want the smallerform factor and are not interested in features like Face ID, OLED displays, 3D Touch, etc. I think it was a smart move for Apple to introduce the SE at an affordable price , but I’m undecided if they will update it or not. The SE is certainly dated, but it does have the same A9 processor as the iPhone 6s and two GB of RAM.

Yeah I have the X but couldn’t care less about Face ID or 3D Touch. Still don’t like the se tho.

I wish I'd kept all my Sony Ericsson P-series phones - specifically the P800i, P900i, P910i, and P990i. I still have a P1i somewhere. Sony Ericsson was a great company with an amazing design ethos - anyone remember the T68i? Unbeknownst to many, that was one of the first commercially available phones with a color screen (technically it was the Ericsson T68 which was succeeded by the Sony Ericsson T68i). I'm sad Sony Ericsson was dissolved.
 
Regret selling all of my iPhones - all were in great condition and would love to have them in a collection now. Especially a mint iPhone 4 or 5

I’m on iPhone #6, and I’ve liked them all. But don’t really miss one in particular. I feel better running the latest software, especially in modern times.

I keep my iphones about 2/3 years so when my X gets a little old I will most likely replace it with what ever is current at the time.
