I do think a power switch would be a good idea, and excluding that a way to shut it off with software from the Mac would be nice.

The best way to solve this issue is to connect the Studio Display to a smart plug. Any decent manufacturer will have an app where you can control it, create timers, etc.

Some have HomeKit integration too, like Philips so you can also control it from your Mac.

I have the display and Mac studio plugged into an APC UPS under my desk, and can turn it off pretty easily that way for now.

Had the same issue with MS Teams. Was about to lose the remaining hair I have left after pulling out most of it trying to solve this issue. Never thought about unplugging the display, but alas, that resolved all the stuttering issues...
