You do realize you cannot run 3.0 anything for a 3GS on an iMac right?

What are you talking about? I have not mentioned iPhone 3.0 anywhere in here.

It might not beable to run snow leopard as well as it should because of the graphics card but it will run leopard just fine.

Think you got confused. 3.0 is for the iPhone. Snow leopard 10.6 is for Pc's.
Btw this pc is supplied with Tiger OS which was released a while ago.

Tiger 10.4 (2005/2006 i think)
Leopard 10.5 (2007)
Snow Leopard 10.6 (2009

Thanks....again..I referenced the conference where the iPhone was launched because that is also the day they released info on Snow Leopard. I was not sure the name, so I said can it run the OS that was announced with the release of the 3GS.

AP= Airport (wifi)
BT= Bluetooth

not sure bout the other one.

EDIT- think it might be wireless keyboard and mouse (worth up to £40)

Real quick....do Macs have "profiles" like Vista..? Meaning I can logon and store my crap and others can logon and NOT see my crap? Can I place files on the harddrive that only I can see? How's that whole thing work?

Yes, I think so. Use FileVault to encrypt your home folder so it can't be opened without password

... or you could just not share your home directory with other accounts on the computer or other computers on the network


The iMac will work with Snow Leopard assuming it is a Core 2 Duo (64bit) processor. That is the only requirement.

Haha, I have that model exactly. Its a great machine, but its not really 4GB of ram. It shows 4GB but is actually only using 3GB. And thats 1 processor that has 2 cores. I paid 1500 for this machine 2 years ago, so ya, 600 seems nice.
