I don't know, personally I have nothing better to do when reading all the anti-Apple hate speech on MacRumors forums, if Apple ever did monitor what's being said I can't imagine they still do now - it's so predictable... everything they do, they shouldn't have, anything they don't, they're way over due..
 
I think it’s the same issue as this guy explains. Basically, one or more of the backlight filters have burned out. The video below is pretty detailed and he is able to fix it but definitely not a fix to undertake for the majority of users. If it is the same or similar what you guys are experiencing, It does show that this is indeed component failure & not user mishandling.

I have the same problem, and I think I have a lead. The bleed occurs at the location exactly where I swipe up to pull up the dock. Maybe the stress put on the screen over time causes a small gap between the device at the edge where light bleeds through? Anyone confirm?
