it will always refresh , i have a subscription to Youtube Premium and use Youtube music. When i pause a song in YTm and do something else , when i return to youtube music , the application has been refreshed and i have to find the playlist again and start playing it. That’s absolutely ridiculous for a 1500€ system like iPadPro 2020.

Yes, this happens to me too. This is the reason why I actually cannot use iPad for listening to music when it comes to youtube. I use different means for listening to music because I am weird. I also work with music. Like if I am not in a meeting and I am focused on something, I need music on. For me it is quite normal to start an youtube playlist in one tab and then work on something. This cannot be achieved on an iPad.

Also it is pretty much normal for me to start watching a video, pause for something and then continue. On an iPad this would result in app refresh. This is why I have always said - iPads and multitasking is not a thing. Multitasking is not about split screen, it is about multiple processes in the background without refresh.

For example my iPhone 8 cannot even handle export from Health app. No matter how powerful the CPU is, iOS devices lack RAM for some quite normal/usual things.
