Boo hoo, if you break an iPhone, it breaks 😂 I wish I was so good to make money out of many million views just by breaking stuff. I have to say I'm a bit jealous. Also I don't think I've ever seen a video going viral so fast about a non-issue.
I get that part... All YouTubers want clicks. My concern is how little force he is using to crack the phone. If this is legit, then I would assume way more people are going to crack the phone from basic little drops, like the guy in this thread. It just seems way too easy. I had the 11PM and the 13Pro, have dropped them both many times and never got a crack. I'm concerned that if this is legit, at some point a lot of the Pro models are going to crack sometimes.

If I wanted to destroy my new 15PM I would go ahead and give it my 2 year old son. Does that mean the phone doesn't have good build quality? Nah. Means I'm dumb.

Apparently his name is not Jerry.

I referred to him as such in another thread and got internet roasted. :p 🤣 🥲

ha!

'Zack' . . . whaddayouknow!~

Vernor Vinge presciently warned us about the implications of using our True Names (and I still take this to-heart).

Nevertheless, "ZackRigEverything" just doesn't have quite the same ring, eh? ;)

Maybe Jerry is a WW2 reference that I just don't get.

The guy **** on apple for a living. Is it break that easily? Maybe, maybe not, can’t conclude base on a sample size of 1. Look at the video below from a guy from India doing the same thing:

Are we willing to be dumb and watch videos on YouTube showing all these drop tests and the extent of intentional misuse of a device to find out what the breaking point is. Who’s going to treat there expensive purchases like this? Everything built in manufacturing will break, destroy and scratch. Heck even cement scratches and we don’t question the durability of it. No one treats their iPhones like we see in the videos, they are intended for entertainment and to get viewers for these creators.

some youtuber cut the frame in half

The titanium was like 2mm thick

it is purely cosmetic
You mean Zack from JerryRigsEverything?

I dont think you know what cosmetic means. The titanium wasnt a coating it was at least half of the structure. How thick do you think the frame is?

Apple said it was titanium bonded to aluminum which is exactly what it is.

Cosmetic would be a coating, not roughly 50% of the structure.
