My battery life was good until last week. Idk what happened but I now lose 1% every 45 seconds. Gotta assume it's something with a cydia tweak.

My i4 battery life was also good, but now for the past week it's deteriorated by about a half. My Usage time is reported to be almost the same as my Standby time (which as I've learned should have been labeled Total time (usage + standby) instead), possibly indicating a rogue running process/app. But I haven't been able to figure out what might be wrong.

What I've tried so far:

- rebooted the phone, to no avail
- disabled all data usage, to no avail
- monitored for a rogue running process using MobileTerminal and Top (from Cydia). No such process running.
- removed Lockinfo which I wrongly suspected was causing this since its latest update
- removed Facebook for the same wrong reason
- removed all my email accounts (apart from my icloud account which is not used for email)
- even went so far as to do a "Reset all settings" on my phone

So as you can see the only thing left for me to try is "Restore as new", but then I'll need to upgrade to 5.1.1 and I'll lose my untethered JB won't I. And I may still find it's just my aging battery and the >350 charge cycles it's been through that have now finally caught up with it.

But still any more ideas are welcome. :)

I too have had battery issues with my iPhone, mine being a 16GB 4S. It would drain all the way down from only one day of use. Why? Because for parts of the day I was in areas with spotty cell and data reception and I still had Wifi and Location Services turned on. When I switched to Airplane Mode it stopped draining so quickly, however, you can't get any data at all in that case, which kinda impairs your use of the phone. Although from the way it sounds this is not the cause, I figure I would let you know my bout with this problem and what partially redeeming step I am taking to fix it.

If your usage and standby time are the same, there's something wrong. Something is consistently on, causing the phone to act as if the screen is unlocked and the phone is in use. The usage should only reflect actual usage. The standby is the standby since the phone was unplugged. (the standby should be TOTAL time meaning standby plus usage, but if the usage time is the same as the standby and you know the phone was locked then there is a problem)

Also, Absinthe 2 and the newest RedSn0w will jailbreak 5.1.1 untethered. I've been untethered on 5.1.1 with my 4S for a while. If you care about an unlock that isn't factory, then upgrading to 5.1.1 will upgrade your baseband and your phone will no longer be able to be unlocked, except for factory unlock services through iTunes (which are relatively cheap).

Just DFU restore to 5.1.1 and see if that fixes it (didn't for me but that's a different issue). If it doesn't it may be a memory leak.

-EDIT-
Just re-read your post. You can also try "clear all content and reset settings" if your're really worried about restoring.

Never use the reset all settings when jailbroken!

Care to explain? I've done "delete all content and setting" several times with no issues on my 4S and my iPad. Saves me time when I don't feel like deleting all my apps separately. (I download a lot a apps/games when they're on sale or free or what not so I can get the updates if I want.)

Just to update, restoring my phone helped bring the battery usage back to normal levels, i.e. I can now go again for 2 days of normal use.
