I literally said none of that but glad to see you went insanely overboard with it.
You literally said exactly that, actually.Either bring some type of Dex functionality or drop the price on iPads all around.

Who sounds like a broken record?Everyone that says this sounds like a broken record. Do you really think base model iPad Pros should costs more than laptops, including MacBooks? iPads are neat but lets be real I’ve not seen or met one person, YouTuber, etc that does not have a laptop or desktop in addition to an iPad. They’ll claim they use the iPad as their only device only to do a collaboration video or studio tour where they talk about how they had to switch back to a proper OS months or even a year or so later.
For me, definitely yes. For coding, I have a MBP, but no Mac can beat an iPad on some aspects, like how pleasant is to use it. Should an iPhone cost more than a Mac? Some of them do, and few people question that. For me (and many people, it seems) it’s never been a decision between iPad and Mac, they’re different categories. I won’t consider a MBA over the iPad, regardless of price.Everyone that says this sounds like a broken record. Simple window resizing would continue to be an insult to iPad users and folks should be even more upset as another year goes by with little useful change. Either bring some type of Dex functionality or drop the price on iPads all around.
Nobody has any precise information on profit margins. In terms of sales, they are doing pretty well and apparently making record sales (that's what Samsung claims) while the iPad sales went down last quarter. How is the profit margin doing for these Dex devices compared to what Apple makes with iPad?
Part of that is just timing in my view. Samsung didn’t really release anything major in terms of tablets in 2021, so there’s a bit of a catchup and apple didn’t release the iPad Air 6 until late in Q1 so that’s definitely an additional element when analysing sales amounts.Nobody has any precise information on profit margins. But I don't think Dex is a priamary reason for that. I have said many times, Dex is great on an external monitor and that's in this direction that Apple should go in terms of external monitor support. On the tablet, I don't think Dex is even necessary. But Apple has a quite a bit of catching up to do with OneUI when it comes to multitasking.
And profit margins do not measure how good the multitasking of a device is. They depends on tons of factor, including the hardware, the apps available and the ecosystem.
Dex is garbage…How is the profit margin doing for these Dex devices compared to what Apple makes with iPad?
Dex is garbage…
Dex is garbage…
It depends on the tablet. I can say the same for an iPad pro 9.7, an iPad 6 or worse an iPad 5. They feel glitchy, slow and buggy, especially when you try to multitask (in particular if you are used to something with A12 or better). From my experience at least, its very much not polished - glitchy… I tried it on my friends tablet, not sure what exact tablet it was, but it was nowhere near iPad experience - it was glitchy - slow - and a bit buggy… I really didnt enjoy it, but your mileage might differ…
Anyone here have a different experience with dex?
