iPhone Is velox worth to buy it?

i got round to see the video today.


fancy stuff, but in my case i will pass.


i find this is one of them tweaks more geared towards impressing other people than to offer any meaningful practicality for operating your phone.


i suppose if you use your phone a lot and you constantly get lots of updates etc. this might prove handy, but im not convinced.
 
Is it on a certain source? I don't see it in my Cydia for some reason

Never mind at work and too impatient and didn't let Cydia refreash
 
It's working for me with a few issues.

Facebook and Twitter give me a login page. When I login with my FB credentials I get a miniature FB web page and then the phone crashes. Haven't tried it with Twitter. I can live with that as I anticipate Velox will be upgraded as time goes on.

I have Folder Enhancer and I am using Velox with a double tap because trying to slide icons with Folder Enhancer only results in the screen moving (I have vertical scrolling). But nothing happens. I moved one of my icons out of it's folder and tried it on the springboard and it works. Another one of those improvements over time I guess.

I do find the following interesting though. I have WeatherIcon 6 set to use the new Yahoo Weather app. Yet, when I use Velox on it it gives me the weather from the Apple weather app! That's fine because I can scroll through all my destinations, but I do think it's wierd.

So far I'm liking it. I'll probably use it more once they get the kinks worked out. I did notice that they changed the compatibility to iOS 6. The other day when I saw it in Cydia it said it's compatibility was iOS5 only. Which is why I didn't buy it right then. Today when I checked again it had been changed.
 
It's amazing but I think future functionality will be incredible even more so.

I'm not seeing this in Cydia. There was an update earlier for Folder Enhancer but I'm not seeing anything around 4pm (the time of your post in my time zone).

Why would Velox show you yahoos weather? It's not going to do what WeatherIcon is doing and probably won't unless maybe someone asks them to add that somehow.

I read the developer of FolderEnhancer saying Velox not working in folders isn't s bug so I don't know if they plan on adding that in the future or not.

Managed to log in on Twitter without any crashes but I haven't tried Facebook. I don't like that it actually shows Twitter instead of Tweetbot because that way I can't use the cloud syncing feature in Tweetbot :(

Hmm…I guess explaining a bit might help.

I have the new Yahoo Weather app on one of my homescreens. I've used Weather Icon 6 to have live weather applied to the new Yahoo weather app (you can specify whatever app you want to have Weather Icon 6 display live weather on it's icon). Further, I have Yahoo! Weather is Better also installed. That tweak reroutes the NC weather widget to the new Yahoo weather app.

So. When I press on the new Yahoo Weather app to open it I get the new Yahoo Weather app. But, the icon of the new Yahoo Weather app looks like the old Apple weather app, but with live weather on it because of Weather Icon 6.

BUT, when I double tap on the new Yahoo Weather app, instead of displaying notifications for the new Yahoo weather app, Velox displays the weather citys from the old Apple weather app.

I'm sure it's just a mishmash of three different tweaks interacting and I don't really care because it's not that important to me. It's just something I noticed and am mentioning.

Can't really say without knowing what you have and even then I probably won't be able to tell. Only way to find out is to download SBSettings and disable all mobile substrate add ons except Velox and then turn the others on one by one and see which one is causing the crashes.

Oh I misunderstood you sorry. Did you email or tweet the devs? Might take them a while to reply to you though since they've been getting a lot of emais.

Saw that and updated earlier in the day. When you mentioned, update out earlier I just assumed you were speaking of Velox and not Folder Enhancer.

No worries.

No, I hadn't really thought of it. To me, it's not really a big issue. I have my Weather Widget on my homescreens through Dashboard X and the Yahoo! Weather is Better tweak lets me tap that and go right to the new Yahoo weather app. I'm not really using Velox for the weather since it's right there on my homescreen. I probably should email them though, just so they are aware.

No need for SBSettings, I have an older version of Springtomize 2 wich can do that. (A month ago Springtomize was updated and removed that feature because it was "dangerous")
I have about 25+ mobile substrate add-ons.

I know and I actually have SBS installed solely for that reason. Do you mind sending me that version? Is it dangerous because people might not know what they're doing or for some other reason?
 
I have found a new bug in Velox. When you use Velox on the maps app, it permanently enables location services to remain on even after you're done with the map. After you have used it on maps, the only way to shut location services off is to respring the phone.

In which way does Auxo not work for you? I haven't had any problems with it.
