LOL, I have had MacOS updates "brake" (break) the system also. It's not just Windows that has the issue. I have friends that won't update their Mac until our Apple User Group gives a majority okay.
Never had that problem with macOS.

Then you are in the minority. It will happen.Never had that problem with macOS.
Then you are in the minority. It will happen.
Yes you are, and congratulations. No, I'm not.
And it didn't happen for 10 years or so.
You prove it.
You well know it's not something I can prove. But I can tell you there are many many many mac forums that have posts about folks who have had issues with MacOS, OSX, and previous versions of 's OS's. So for you to say you haven't had the issue is a safe statement for you to make. I say you will because 20+ years of reading mac related forums and BB's tells me that sooner or later, the majority WILL have an issue. So I feel confident in my statement saying you are in the minority. But you know what? Doesn't matter to me what you think, just as what I think doesn't matter to you. Go your merry way and i honestly hope you never have a problem with ANY update. You are the one saying that most of the times people update macOS, they end up with broken systems.
Prove it.

You seem to think that majority means the same thing as most. It doesn't. As to the rest of what you posted, what am I supposed to glean from all that data?I don't even care.
You said one thing, insisted over it, you have to prove it.
Additionally, according to Gstat counter, and considering that Windows 10 was a free and FORCED upgrade, specially for anyone with Windows Update turned on:
http://gs.statcounter.com/os-version-market-share/windows/desktop/worldwide
Windows 10 was launched in 2015, that's 3 years ago, and only has 47.21% of market share.
The minimum specs for Windows 10 are:
Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster processor or SoC
RAM: 1 gigabyte (GB) for 32-bit or 2 GB for 64-bit
Hard disk space: 16 GB for 32-bit OS 20 GB for 64-bit OS
Graphics card: DirectX 9 or later with WDDM 1.0 driver
Display: 800x600
So, unlike Apple, you can't say "it's because people don't have the necessary hardware to run it".
Meanwhile, on macOS
http://gs.statcounter.com/os-version-market-share/macos/desktop/worldwide
82.37% are running macOS versions released in the last 3 years.
You seem to think that majority means the same thing as most. It doesn't. As to the rest of what you posted, what am I supposed to glean from all that data?
You still haven't answered my question from post # 35. Just what am I supposed to take away from that data? There are millions of macOS users, there are millions of macOS users complaining about macOS updates in forums?
No, they aren't.
And many people complain because they are Apple haters, they don't even have Apple products.
You still haven't answered my question from post # 35. Just what am I supposed to take away from that data?
Well, since Windows has a total market share, according to https://netmarketshare.com/operating-system-market-share.aspx?options={"filter":{"$and":[{"deviceType":{"$in":["Desktop/laptop"]}}]},"dateLabel":"Trend","attributes":"share","group":"platform","sort":{"share":-1},"id":"platformsDesktop","dateInterval":"Monthly","dateStart":"2017-06","dateEnd":"2018-05","segments":"-1000"} of ~88%, and Apple has a market share of ~9%, my take is it really doesn't matter what the adoption rates are. And since that wasn't what we were initially discussing, I guess we are done exchanging our opinions and various facts.
Whoopee, I can find stuff MacOS updates break, what does that prove? http://osxdaily.com/2016/09/22/fix-wi-fi-problems-macos-sierra/Completely irrelevant figures. And everyone knows why Windows has such a big marketshare (spoiler alert: it's not because it's good)
The fact is that people don't upgrade their Windows installation because Windows updates are always breaking something or making the computer unbootable.
Whoopee, I can find stuff MacOS updates break, what does that prove? http://osxdaily.com/2016/09/22/fix-wi-fi-problems-macos-sierra9
And Mac updates can make a computer unbootable also https://www.easeus.com/computer-instruction/mac-wont-boot-after-macos-high-sierra-update.html
Excuse me? Some Mac users are reporting wi-fi difficulties after updating to macOS Sierra 10.12. That's a cut and paste from the first item I linked to.It's not even related to any software update, unlike my sources.
Your tried -> *
Excuse me #2 - "Don’t worry if your Mac computer fails to boot or won’t boot after macOS High Sierra update or installation" Doesn't matter what they are selling, the reason they are selling it is because the Mac "fails to boot" which is exactly what you posted about. That's all I need to do, it's called tit for tat. That's an advertisement for a shady software package that costs $89.95
That's all you can do?

No, that's a quote. You should be able to see that. That's your judgement.
I haven't had to take my Windows computers to anybody for them to fix something. What does any of this prove?Blargh. Overpriced comercial software trying game SEO to get $90 from people.
If my Mac breaks, I take it to an Apple Store and they'll fix it for me, thank you. Never had to do that in the last 10 years.
