Better off buying a Note 5. It does the same things or a Note 4. Too bad the 7 is running a slow processor. The 820 is not exactly fast and is slowed even more down by Touchpuzz. An easy decision to pass on another dull iPhone
Better Choice:
Note 7 on pre-order.
Gorgeous 5.7" hi-res display
Much smaller and stylish than iPhone
Lighter with comfortable ergonomics
Greater functionality
Thin sleek bezels
Wonderful stylus

They will, change it once their new screen maker fixes the burn in issues with AMOled screens.I'm in a similar situation.
By choice, my primary smartphone is a Nexus 6P and my secondary is an iPhone 6S Plus. Admittedly I'm a smartphone addict with several active lines and a variety of phones just for the experience. Working in a Windows/ Mac/ Android/ iOS/ environment simply adds to the cross platform fun. Yet if not for work I might not have anything to do with iOS.
Years as a very satisfied Mac user keep me interested in Apple, but highly disappointed in how they've coasted while hyper focused on profit taking off their loyal iPhone buyers. I _know_ what Apple is capable of, and the current 6S series is most certainly not... Their best work.
I'd truly like an iPhone to be as fun, fast, reliable and capable as my favorite Nexus is, but it's just not. And that's why I'm closer than ever to walking away from Apple. After being patient waiting for them to finally offer a smartphone with a spacious display, instead of the diminutive 4" iPhone, they've still got catching up to do.
A huge slab of a smartphone with an old fashioned mechanical home button is just laughable. Hello Apple... Anybody Home?
[doublepost=1470601678][/doublepost]iPhone users have some very skewed perceptions of competing devices, and I say that as a 5+ year iPhone user!
The Note 7 looks fantastic, and honestly, I think the Galaxy S/Note series may beat the iPhones this year. Yes, Android has its flaws and weaknesses (as does iOS), but if you think that these phones are slow, likely to be compromised (unless you're stupid and download sketchy software from sketchy sources), or that they only work well for a year, you really need to stop listening to the fanboy propaganda.
I love iPhones as much as the next person, but Apple does not make the only high quality smartphones anymore, and it's in fact very debatable and subjective whether they make the best. There are really good alternatives if you actually try them.

i have owned both the s6 and s7 and yes they are slower then any other phone out there. Just because you are blinded by shiny and flashy doesn't mean they are good. They would be good if they weren't ruined by the OS for dummies I.e. Touhwizz. It needs much more RAM then the phones have actually astounded they didn't up it to 6 or ship a better chip with the 7. much better Android manufacturers then Samedung. They will, change it once their new screen maker fixes the burn in issues with AMOled screens.

Ew don't do that lolNo. I currently have a Moto X as my work phone and a 6s plus as my own personal phone. If I replace my iPhone, both devices would be android and I would effectively have left iOS completely since I don't own an iPad.
Smart choice loliPhone 7 plus for me. Had Galaxy S 1, 3 and Note 4 now its time for a change to Apple!
Android user for seven years and I can tell you it has gotten better but at thre same time it still isn't better. It's like being 500 pounds and I lost 150 pounds. I'm happy to have lost weight but I'm still overweight in the end.iPhone users have some very skewed perceptions of competing devices, and I say that as a 5+ year iPhone user!

what is your checklist to upgrade this year?I buy my phones sim free at full Retail price.
This way they are unlocked to all networks.
In the case of non Apple phones they are Bloatware Free and recieve Firmware updates faster than what the Uk Networks send out and remain untouched too.
Throughout the year I save a set amount out of my salary in an online bank account so the money is there when I'm ready to pull the trigger.
I'm currently using the iPhone 6 Plus and decided to pass on the S models.
If the new iPhone 7 Plus / Pro or whatever they call it does not ✔️ my wants and needs boxes then either the Samsung Galaxy s7 edge or Note 7 have caught my eye ,and will possibly take a year out from the iPhone to see what occurs in the 2018 keynote.
You can count me in that camp. Probably wouldn't go as far as saying that I'd want their stock to "tank" (as I would hate there not to be an Apple, because I love iPhones and hate using Android, so for me I'll just keep my older iPhones for as long as possible). But yes, in the sense that I would want them to realize that many of us still want and need the universal jack, and hope it comes back in future models, that's more specifically what I mean. I know it's about 50/50 which of us want the universal jack, and which ones don't mind it's gone. But 50% is a huge amount of people not buying iPhones that ordinarily would have, so I dare say that their investors are incredibly likely to learn that lesson the hard way.No matter how much I love my vast Apple world. There's no way I'm buying a phone without a standard headphone jack.
Fingers crossed that it's a bomb and tanks the stock so that they'll come to their senses on the 7S.
I really don't have any qualms with Android, I would just find it borderline pointless to own and use daily two devices on the same platform. The rumors of the new Appl Watch have piqued my interests though. Still not jazzed about the next iPhone but a really nice Apple watch this holiday season would certainly keep my with my 6s Plus (which, realistically, I would probably stay with regardless).Ew don't do that lol
Considering the talk about this year's iPhone, you haven't really heard anything that really has people talking... I haven't heard anything that makes this iPhone a must-buy. This is supposed to be the Year of the iPhone 7, but yet people are talking like this is another S. I'd like to know what people think this launch is going to be.
I was planning to skip the 7. But the only one I was fooling was myself. I have to have the latest phone.
But I'm undecided on whether to stick with the 4.7 or go back to the plus.
