So in a way, ipad is like a fully grown individual, able to accomplish all tasks proficiently in school / work, but emotionally attached to parents.

A netbook is the opposite. A slacker, cannot do anything adequately, but at least is able to take care of itself and be on its own feet.

Hahaha I love my iPad but this is sooooo true!

I have also noticed in mail app when you have no messages in your inbox and you receive new messages the app openes to a blank screen, you have to go to the list then click on the new message, just a bit anoying that it does not open to the first new message if the no previous one is available.

I feel a few of these complaints should and probably will be fixed with os 4.0, but I also feel some of these things are silly (moving photos around, I mean, you put it in the album it's in for a reason, why would you want to change it on a portable platform?) The ability to micro manage without iTunes may never happen, although I would love for it to. I would also love wireless syncing/background syncing. I want to play fieldrunners while upoading my 23gb's of music dammit!

all in all though, I am more than thrilled with my iPad. Can't wait for 4.0, I guess it'll just bring a whole new batch of user complaints. (not to say yours aren't valid, I am poking at the people who honestly think Mr. Jobs will put flash on a mobile platform...)

How is moving photos silly? If you save a photo (from the web for example) why wouldn't you want to move it to an album appropriate to the content (I.e. family, friends, etc.). A google search for this exactly led me to this forum.

It also seems two me that a portable device, by definition, is not portable if it requires a wired connection (iTunes) to sync...

Now that sir is a STUPID annoyance!!!!! Probably hurting downloads for Apple as sometimes I just cant be bothered going back in again (yes i am lazy)

What do you mean you cant delete photos from the iPad? I can select the ones I want deleted straight from the iPad.

Deleting isn't the issue - it's moving photos that is the problem. Ironic, no?

The ipad can very well be the best browsing and managing machine at the moment. The photo app is so fast and you can browse through it so smoothly. My quadcore machine with 8GB RAM and raid1-array can't keep up with my ipad in terms of browsing pics. Compared to the ipad, it takes forever to show thumbnails.

Wouldn't it be a waste if I can't put all my unsorted pics in an unsorted album and use the photo app to sort them? Using the extreme fast fullscreen viewer to delete unwanted pics?

I know it'd work better than my pc.

Most people are not using the iPad as their main email device. Just keep the emails on the server after downloading to the iPad.

I use my iPhone as my primary personal email source now, a little security would be nice. Especially so for my work mail!

Trust

User accounts would be nice but I guess would run into space problems with diff users.

Never understood how you can set restrictions on Safari and other programs but NOT email!! Such a simple fix and option to give us people who leave iPads around the home for other people to use

It's pretty pathetic if you have to delete your email acct every time you leave the house. Who are these people that have access to your ipad? If they're loved ones what are you hiding from them? Secret relationships? Crimes?

If these people aren't trustworthy why give them access. If they're loved ones why hide things from them? Why would they look? Take a look at yourself

Yeah, like in the book store too... I hit 'See more' and more and more, see a few things to add and start downloading them and have to start at the top after each download. Annoying? You betcha... And yes, many times I've just not gone back to get other things.

Also, on a tangent, there are many books that aren't available at all still... How do people get textbooks in the bookstore? The having to start over in the App Store and Book Store are probably going to be fixed in 4.0 as the last position could then be saved rather than tossed...

It really is amazing that you can't password-protect your email. This must the the only email client in the world that forces you to cache the password with no option to authenticate the user when they open the app. Its kind of a pain because I like letting friends and coworkers play around with this thing, but I don't like letting them read my email.

I totally agree with akk of the OPs comments. The limitations are annoying. Much more so than they are on the iPhone.

Just keep the porn and emails to/from your mistress on a online account that doesn't download to the iPad.

Just set up a passcode, or jailbreak it and install one of the many security apps.

What apps?

Wait a friggin second. I just realized I can't save email attachments! What is that all about??!??!?
