Come to Texas.

Forecasts are between 98 and 100 in Austin for our first day of fall. "Fall" as in "fall dead of heatstroke," that is.
Yea. Today was one of the hotter days in a while. And the CC guys for out running after school...

Aye, matey. Ain't it the truth. I'm postponing returning to Houston until the dead of winter when maybe the temperature is down in the 60's.

I hate Fall.

All it means to me is that an all-to-short summer is over, and what awaits are months of too much snow, and icy coldness that no amount of clothes can keep out, and total darkness because the sun vanish competely from the sky.

I hate Fall, because I hate Winter.

i love the fall, my creativity gets sparked this time of year for some reason, i like the brisk cool air more than anything.. and its beautiful out.

i know, i am weird. forgive me?

Here in California people freak out when the temp is 50 degrees, even in Fall.
I'm freak out when it's below 70... I am not a winter/fall/ 'cold' weather person, at all.

Nice photo except for the person.

Huh it's ok for you guys with your fall it's bloody autumn here!
Actually it's quite mild and all the trees have their leaves and are very green, it certainly doesn't feel like winter creeping in yet over here, all the flowers are still out too and butterflies and bees (it's about 70f on average)
I hate the long nights roll on spring :(

I just hope this winter isn't as bad as last winter. One day we had a -45ºF wind chill and many people got frostbite for staying out too long. Then the next week we had almost 20 inches of snow! I took a great picture, but I seemed to have lost it when my HD crashed... :(

I had actually been out there to take pics of my dog swimming - she loves to chase the ball and will swim out no matter how far I throw it.

I've got a Boxer and I wouldn't throw a ball more than ten feet as she's such a terrible swimmer, anyway the North Sea is far too cold, brrrr.

It is just freaking killing me not being able to train and run.

Folks are pulling their fish-wheels in. Snow will fly in a couple weeks, I reckon.... mmm-hmm....

1. WTF is a fish wheel - nevermind I found it.

2. Wow! Look at the fall colors already!

Well, it's almost spring where I am now. The weather changes very fast. For example, a couple of weekends ago, the weather changed from being warm with sunny skies; to dark stormy clouds and cold, crisp air; and finally to white clouds and cool air. While all this is happening, there would be 3 minute periods where rays of sunlight would break through the clouds, just to keep us on our toes.

All photos are taken in a 4 hour span on the same day. The first 2 photos were taken within 20 minutes of each other.

Ha, I haven't seen one of those in years - where was the pick taken?

D

Reminds me of Lewis Black from "The White Album"... "Fall is here, and all I have to say is f**k fall. I hate the fall. Woohoo. The leaves change color! The leaves change color for two days. Then a big gust of wind comes and we're left with nothing but sticks."

It's the autumnal equinox tomorrow. The 21st of September -- the official start of autumn.

Woke up this morning to see a big V of Canada geese making their way off to warmer climes.

Had some lunch by the Serpentine in Hyde Park yesterday. It still felt warm and summery but the nights in London are definitely getting chillier. Going duvet shopping next week...
