Thats great
A bit off-topic, but does anyone have any recommendations for a NVMe solution for a MacPro5,1? It works to boot MacOS from such a drive with the driver included in Boot Manager?
No, The Driver included in Boot Manager only marks as Internal the PCIe SSDs, so you can use them in Boot Camp, for example an AHCI Blade or a Sonnet Tempo SSD, does not make NVMe Bootable on unsupported systems.

Start looking at Angelbirds Wings PX1 and Aqua Computer kryoM2.

Best price (free shipping/no sales tax) for Angelbird Wings PX1 - Adorama eBay store:

The best performance NVMe SSD is Samsung 970Pro, with Samsung 970EVO and HP EX920 the best 1TB medium cost solutions.

Alrighty – that Angelbirds Wings definitely has in an interesting price. Too bad I'm not in the US. :) But I see it says ”Country/Region of Manufacture: Austria”, that's much closer to me. I will take a look at the manufacturer's website…

Here it is: https://www.angelbird.com/prod/wings-px1-1117/?category=104
Okay price in EUR even for a new card, I think.

Thanks!

And thanks for the info on the NVMe SSD's. I know the 970 Pro is best in class at the moment, but always good to have someone confirm things. :)
