Yeah, those caps are quite useful on manual lenses, just sandpaper off the logoThis logo will ensure you always get a good lens.

Don't make me hurt you!
Good to know. Avoid Nikon everyone. AFB says that they're no good.....
[doublepost=1455627371][/doublepost]I had an Industar 69 a while back that wouldn't focus to infinity and I got my engineer friend to go at it with a dremel. It sorted it out no problem but it turned out to be a rubbish lens.

The screws came undone eventually but there was little or no adjustment available. I think infinity focus has been moved by a few yards, but no more.
When I get brave I will try and make a thinner shim.

I was very fortunate to pick most of my lenses up through work for bargain (like a 10th of their value). That is a really nice picture series! Nice colours!

try layers of tin foil...

Nah, THIS ONE ensures a good lens but also, assures you that you will be spoiled going forward and will be financially in tatters for ever more.... Since when did a £1700 lens become a bargain! I need my finances recalibrated nevermind my focus!

I think you need to start campaigning for Leica to be added to your stock so Ken and I can get some mate's rates discountsI was very fortunate to pick most of my lenses up through work for bargain (like a 10th of their value).
Unfortunately we don't support any Leica lenses!
Lol. We don't even do the Nikons anymoreI think you need to start campaigning for Leica to be added to your stock so Ken and I can get some mate's rates discounts

Just to give you some background the company I work for supports contracts for government etc (amongst other things). After 4 years the kit comes back to us for disposal. So there were 20+ lenses of each type I bought. So I was able to sort through the best ones (for myself) and buy them. All the kit gets serviced regular when out in the field, and a lot of it didn't see a lot of action (based on the D3 and D300 shutter counts).
As the kit doesn't really owe us anything the boss sells them off cheap to staff. The rest goes on ebay.
This particular customer though has changed the way the contract works now, so no more kit for me
That said I have bought enough glass for the year already!
We do a bit of that too!Based on your previous pictures of, and announcements of purchases since, you have the focal lengths covered mostly. I think you are well sorted for your needs. An absolute win!
Our company meanwhile would rather skip old kit than let us play with it. :-(
We do a bit of that too!
I go from 10.5-1000 (if you stick a 2 x TC on my 200-500)!
In fact if I use my D7100 that would be 1500 mm. I might try it in the garden for a laugh, but it will need to be a sunny day due to Aperture!
If its not cloudy, maybe I will! Why not grab a picture of the moon?
ISO 100, F/8, 1/125s.... get me a nice one... please....
I'd like to see that through a proper long lens as well √If its not cloudy, maybe I will!
I might be tempted to enter
Cheers

Oh good, thank you... I wasn't sure the effect was working. That focus is looking good. The red houses look like a lovely model effect. Looking positive so far.
